Skipping quite a bit and it's not as finished as it looks, but it is getting there, few issues I'll talk about later. Wings need finishing, but I'm on the home straight and will see my bed for more than 3 hours tonight

Dave,
In post #70 you picture the "M&R UAT". I can only find the BVM UAT here, and can't find the M&R company online. Can you provide any more info about this UAT? I'm looking for an alternative to BVM's $66 (US) UAT!
The UF looks awesome and I appreciate all the pics; I'll be saving them for my build. C-ARF just told me today that mine will be on the ship arriving US in mid-November, so I have a bit of a wait.
Regards,
Gus

there is another alternative to the BVM, http://shop.jet-1a.com/product_info....roducts_id=124 , it's only Euro 30,- (even -19% VAT!), I use those in all my jets, works perfectly....

Carsten,
Thank you very much - I checked it out online and given your endorsement, I think I'll try it in my UF.
Dave,
The tint on the canopy really looks nice in cotrast to the airframe colors.

Gus

Ok, step back and these are a few things to watch on early kits.
On my kit the four elevator servo mounting holes in the hatch had two out by 3-4mm (hence the washers) CARF are looking into this.
On the retract mounts you can only have washers under the rear screws otherwise the screw head is above the hatch.
The silicon on the nose steering looks messy, but works really well with no rubber bands!
The aileron flap servo mount carries over from the Flash. On my kit the Flap servo linkage line was out by 12mm, so rather than mount the servo conventionally, I mounted the Flap servo from the top. Other makes of servo you might need to check heights. Again CARF are looking into this.

Dave, simply amazing that you can put one of these together so quickly and smoothly. And at the same time give lots of details and pictures.
Are you saying that the canopy tint is a film that you attach to the inside of the canopy? Sorry to bother you at this awkward time, but I would like my Flash which I am finishing up to look that good.
Thank you,
Stan

Having a main tank with a flat bottom is nota gooddesignfeature. Even designing in a slight curvature on thetank's bottom would improve reliability
(by reducing air infiltration into the UAT when the main tank gets to 1/2 full or less!)
