Tanks:
i am running the saddle tanks in my flash for additional fuel , and the wing tank for smoke
had a friend check my setup, as this is my first turbine , and he told me that the yellow tygon gets so soft that i need to have brass tubing inserted into the tygon to avoid it folding back and creating fuel starvation
so question is :
1 how long of a tubing is recomended in the main tank - i have brass tubing in the middle to avoid the baffle cuttimng the tubing , but directly after the baffle i have only tygon
2 saddle tanks - do i need to insert brass tubing in between the stopper and clunk to ''harden the tubing'' avoid it folding back
thanks

You get the jet from the CARF reps like Andy Kane or Ray Labonte.. as far as electric retracts, no idea (is Todd doing electrics yet?)

Was hopeing to find it all in 1 place, maybe even get a little better deal. I know shulman aviation handles the flash along with the electric retracts. I sent them an email early this morn but haven't heard anything back. Chief aircraft offers the flash but I don't believe they have the retracts for the flash as there's none listed. Dreamworks just has the retracts. I'm not sure what the shipping is now from comp arf but from chief it's only around $125 which is nice. + getting it locally will be a lot quicker?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm on Andy Kane's email distro for sales and he is selling the white/green/blue CARF UF for $1990 ($300 off) while supplies last. Don't know about shipping.

I really like the Electron retracts as well.
Service from Electron has been very good to date.
Have a set in a PST reaction and another going into my new UF.
I would recommend these to anyone.

Paul.

What model of electrons are you guys using? Er40 or? What struts/wheels combo? Chief emailed and they have the flash in stock. Haven't heard anything from shulman aviation but I don't think they carry the ba flash or the right size electric retracts.

How many flights you guys got on the retracts? What sort of surface are you flying off? dry, dusty? The thread getting clogged seems to be the short fall that can cause issues.

Hello friends!
I have a Ultra Flash with a P-100RX and when almost always landed me bounces off the ground. I have been told it's best to put crow ailerons.
That routes are those that you use?
Thank you.

OK, grass is less "gritty" than a runway, so makes sense.
If its bouncing you are either too fast, more of a skip. Or too slow bouncing. I still say NO crow, the wing works better without. What flap are you using for landing?

Hi Dave!
I have 90 mm in flaps when landing and our track is of azfalto. Only me not rebounding it is when flight without wind, when I notice that slows much the model in the air and bounces me once or twice!
Thank you.

sounds like you could be a little hotter then normal on landing which is not bad as long as your field is big enough...also you may not be holding the nose off long enough to bleed off airspeed for a smooth landing... the flash can be slowed and remain very stable..crow is not going to help with a bouncy landing but maybe make it worse...try slowing it down a little more..

I found my UF landed best with Crow. I actually needed it with the residual thrust off of my Rhino, otherwise it floats on and on .. I can't wait to get my 2nd flash in the air.
Under or over powered, too fast or too slow , with crow the plane is also a lot more difficult to bounce and will plant nicely. My last flight I landed full on all tanks with fuel and smoke, even with the weight, it landed very nicely with crow ( too bad it burst into flames after roll out , lol :\ )

It seems that some if you prefer and others say that the crow is not necessary!
You must do a survey!
Here one of my flights where it looks like bouncing on the track. The second landing does not count because land badly.

I have test flown and set up enough UF's (heading for double figures) and it lands great without.
CROW is to add drag, the UF has tonnes of flap/ drag available. The wing tips add a kind of washout, so it does not gain from any washout gain. You just need to play with flap angles until you find what works for you. Yes, less flap and a small amount of CROW can work, but it does not need CROW...
There are pilots out there who struggle to cope landing high drag aircraft, to balance the drag with power requires both sticks to be moving. When I stand on many lines I see the throttle used like a switch (pilots who also fly model choppers tend to have a better feel for the throttle control)
The UF is sleek and has an efficient wing, try holding it in ground effect longer, it will touch down very slowly, even in light winds.
