Default Elan w/ rabbit

I've seen many videos of Elans with 120N powerplants. Has anyone flown an Elan w/ a rabbit and if so how was the high end performance. Any videos powered by a rabbit?

Thanks for the info... I figure it should still have a .7 thrust to weight ratio at AUW. I just wanted to make sure before I ordered. I was thinking about the new torus or xl with my rhino however 127oz of fuel isn't quite enough flight time for me.

Ya, you have to take it easy on climbout, but it still will get airborne in 100 feet or so. once you burn a bit down, and get it moving, it does just fine.. I think a perfect match would be the new Wren 100 at 22lb, but it has huge verticle on a 120 size motor. Your vertical wont be as big, but its still good. It will go 800 feet from a high speed pass..

Seal the aileron and elevator gaps with servo tape on the bottom, and the rudders too. that will help its stability. Before you build the elan, read the thread.. Its long but good. Find mine. It has a red radio board. I learned alot building it and heed where I put things. you will have to keep the weight back with the rabbit like I did.. follow my build layout and you will be doing wheelies down the runway on landing...
