I would rather have a plane that is a little more expensive but does not have crappy cylinders, gel and surfaces that
crack and landing gear that doesn't work - so I will choose SM every time (4 times so far!)

Who is the best person/retailer to purchase FEJ products from in the US?

Hi,

If you're gonna buy FEJ, I recommend John Weaver at Discount Hobbies in San Diego. Been around for 30 years and attends the events.

Both can make good and bad planes. Have you owned the large FEJ hawk?

Maybe the larger FEJ jets are ok but my smaller F-16 was a piece of trash. Never again.

The gear issue with FEJ was taken care of when they went "in house" with the manufacturing of the gear. It was sub'ed out and did have problems. Mine all work and yes, John Weaver and I (RC Jets Direct) are a dealer for them and have been VERY satisfied with the quality and service. They all fly great as well.
Let us know if we can help in your next purchase...we are $$$$ friendly!!
Thanks for the plug shaun!!

Well that is good news. When did FEJ go in-house with their gear (recently, a few months ago, last year)? If you buy a kit that has the old gear, will FEJ provide a free replacement if the old stuff doesn't work?

Regards,

Jim

Yes Jim. They have been very good about replacing gear with a problem at no charge. Most of all the new designs have the new gear and they have been working on the replacements for about 8 months.
You have seen mine fly and they all have been working fine.

Hi All i have had around 8/9 FEJ models of one sort or another and have written reviews for the jet mag R C J I for most of them,in the early days there were problems with air cylinders, retracts but most of these issues have been resolved,my AT3 which i flew at jet power meet in germany last year has now got 80 flights on it,it has had no problems from the word go and has never let me down in any way,it still has the orignal exhaust duct,i have just got the new 1/4 scale Hawk and they are now using carbon in high stress areas, the model looks fantastic and when you consider that you get every thing with the model ie exhaust duct, tanks, retracks, oleos, wheels, air kit etc the price compared to every thing else on the market is very good value, yes there might be an issue or two to sort but there after sales service is second to none.Any problems that i have had have been sorted with replacement parts no questions asked, regards Keith

Fly eagle should publish the price of their products on their website. What is the point of advertising a product & not showing a price.

Hey all....

First of all I have had only one fej model and that was there first lil f16.. What a great aircraft.. exect copy of the skymaster 1/8 just had too replace there crappy plywood like most chineese kits.. But this A10 I just flew it the past weekend after reading soooo many reports I have changed my thrust lines c/g and still flys like a pig dives under full throttle climbs at idle then with my first landing all trimmed for 1/4 power for approch then idle for touch down adding a bit of down lh rear wheel rips out!!! on inspection bugger all glue holding it together and balsa ply with carbon cloth on both side for undercarrage formers that good ply attaches too!!! I sent the factory the pics and story and they say I have not built it right soo here I am chatting on here!! Was my dream plane now my worst paper weight unless I chop and change the whole thing!!
