Hey Frank

You know the BD-5 that I told you about that I prepaid for in September with a 8 week delivery, the same one that I was told 5 weeks ago would arrive in 4 weeks, the same one that I got notice today that it "was in Paint" and would be delivered before their holiday. Im not looking for a tracking number till heck freezes over. Probably not even layed up yet

Very disappointing. Bad Enough to take my money with a smile and a promise, its just downright rude to continually promise a delivered date you know you aren't going to make.

Should have just told me straight up 6 months. Probably wouldn't have bought it, (or maybe I would have) but at least they could have had a clear conscience.

I shouldn't rant on Christmas Eve. But I want my toy!!

Sorry, I apologize

Well.. I have 1 more week to wait which would be the end of the 3rd week which they told me (expext delivery in 2 - 3 weeks), and I never received a tracking number yet either.... Santa must hate me... On a brighter note.. got a gyro and $$$ for the local hobby shop for xmas so far. I should have everything I need by spring when it arrives.

That's what has held me back from ordering their F-18. Sorry but with my business I receive a deposit for the work to get started. Then as I progress I receive another payment and so forth till the job is done. I wonder if Skymaster pays it's employees a full months wages ahead of time or weekly as is normal. I'll just wait till the jets I'm looking for to pop up on the market place.....

It's our fault. I was in business for 31 years. I don't remember ever getting paid for something before it was delivered. If you would stop paying 6 months in advance I think you would see quicker delivery dates. In fact, I know you would.

I plan to order my 104 through a Skymaster dealer such as BVM. When BVM has it in stock...then I'll pay for it. There is still FEJ but I had an early F-15 and it left a bad taste in my mouth. They look good though. HAHAHA

You still have to put a deposit of 50% down. I also ordered through BVM but I hold Skymaster responsible for the delay.
I even ordered the simplest scheme to ensure quick delivery to no avail.

I ordered my F-18 on Dec 9th through BVM. I received an email from Skymaster confirming the order. BVM stated ship date ship dates are running 8-10 weeks. I do not expect to see my jet until the end of February. It might take even longer since I went with the non-standard paint job. Skymaster  might wait till all orders are in before building to save on costs.

No one stocks anything anyway,I also ordered a f16 in orange lion scheme and was paid in full back in october 21st figuring that would get me anough time for fl jets and emailed skymaster about shipment and was told that it was going to be shipped out before there holiday begins in feb.Dad orderd there f86 1/5(through a diff sorce)at theend of nov beginning of dec thinking that was going to make it also but as we both now know that isn't going to make it forfl jets if mine is goingjust make it.These jets is the only bussiness that you pay everything in full up frontand have nothing to show for it for months on end

I agree, these planes should be ordered with a 50% initial payment and 50% when it ships.

I agree with you 100% and have chosen NOT to participate in this process. When BVM or some other US dealer has the product in stock and ready to ship, they will get my hard earned money.

I agree guys, I think a 20% to 25% deposit is reasonable, you don't come through when it's time and you're out your deposit but, I'm not going to pay 100% for something that can take 3 plus months to deliver. No one does business like that.

When I placed my order it was 50% down and 50% 2 weeks before shipment. These jets are almost like custom items. To have $2000 -$4000 sitting on a shelf waiting for you to purchase would be tough on the pocket book. This process also allows the manufacture to make improvements with each jet, but there is zero excuse for not hitting a delivery date.

I paid 10% deposit.
Then paid the remaining balance on collection of the 2m ViperJet from the shop.

50% deposit, OUCH ! [:@]

This is the reason why i have not ordered a 2m Viperjet yet as well. I even asked how long to get a bare white airframe (if i have to paint it myself, in order to get it in a reasonable (less than 4 weeks) then so be it). Price was only a few hundred less, but they still quoted 8 to 14 weeks to delivery. I'll put my money towards other items i can get in a few days.

I ordered a Skymaster F-5 through BVM on Nov. 4 and put half down. The jet arrived Dec. 17. Maybe I got lucky...or maybe the secret is ordering through BVM.

well the secret is not bvm because mine was ordered from themin the end of oct and was paid 100% in full at time of ordering a 1/6 f 16 not like its a rare bird or anything, you would think that some of there more common ones that they might have 1 or 2 around just would need for paint or something just my .02c I ordered thinking that i would have in plenty of time for fl jets joke on me

***... I ordered my BD through BVM on 10/20/2010, paid in full [>:] 2 weeks ago I got the notification 'execpt delivery in 2-3 weeks' email. So hopefully I get it this week. You think they would have 1-2 kits in primer sitting around, especially around the holidays with the mass orders that are coming in.
