Default gyros

I have 2 gyros 1 is a futaba fp-g154 i would like to use that on the nose gear and a 401 on ailerons has anyone use gyros on there a10 thanks

You really want to use an old mechanical gyro on your A-10? Recommend you dump the G154. The 401 is a good gyro and should work fine. Just be aware that heading lock mode may not work the way you expect on an airplane.

Earlier in 2010, I did a small write up on gyros on nose wheels in our jets, any newer gyro will work except for heading hold, do not use a heading hold gyro. GWS has a gyro that is tiny and comes in at 7 grams and for $35.00.

GWS Piezo Gyro Futaba PG03/F and these can be found at Tower hobby.

Hi George, can you y harness gyro's to be shut off on one use channel or do they all need there own extra channel

the GWS gyro, mounts right in line with the nose wheel servo, basically a plug and play........
