Default BVM T-33 help required

Hello,
two years ago I found an old T-33 kit from Bob Violet.
It was the ducted fan version.
Is there anybody who turned this into a turbine version? What have you changed?
Where is the centre of gravity located?
Thanks in advance
Dirk

Why not go EDF? EVF fan unit is pretty nice.

Hey Dirk
Yes, like David said there should be a conversion kit available, just call Patty and she should be able to get one put together for you. I had two of the older kits that were converted and that was before the AFS version that is out now. I know they are also working on an even more advanced kit right now.
If you have not started it that would be best because the main differences are the intakes ducts, (no change to fuse cowls) and some former changes as well. Fuel tanks have been greatly upgraded also to keep the CG from changing during flight.
The best upgrade is to go with the newer landing gear set up like the Bandits use, much stronger to handle the crosswind conditions. Also you will want to fill in the cusp where the leading edge meets the fuse on the underside of the wing. That has been addressed on the BVM site and you can check that out there
Good luck
Love the T-bird

Thanks for the comments.
I have done the "under wing modification" but still the DF duct in there. A special sattel tank system was made from fiber. The issue is, that I still have around 0.8l fuel tank between nose landing gear and the turbine.
What are your experiances in regard of CG. Is this realy on the back end of the first wing tube?
Love T33 too

Balance point sounds about right but can't remember and no longer have the models, I would call BVM to confirm that. Balance on this model is critical. The new tank setup was two saddle tanks that go between the fuse and intake ducts. That way it moved the fuel back closer to the CG. There is still a third tank that set between the intakes as well.

My relation to BVM is not the best (lets say like this).
This tank system was one on special offer and I ordered this and I called also Patty to confirm, that everything is ok with the order. It was, unitl another employee from BVM send me an email, that becourse o illness thay could'nt update the system in balance with the stock. I started to have an argument, but as usual, the customer is coming behind the business case. I understand this, but the kind of treating this was not ok, in my opinion.
So I have made the tanks by my own.
The quality of the product is exelent, the customer care not realy (just my point of view).
