OK Mark.

Your firmwares are probably not compatible.
You need to update both the transmitter module and receiver module to version 2.33:
http://www.weatronic.com/en/download...-12-22-r-serie
http://www.weatronic.com/en/download...l-24-dual-fhss

Make sure that you format the card correctly before doing the update ( FAT 32, cluster size default ). The card shall be a recent one, max 2 GB, formatted in a good quality reader/writer. The formatting process is essential for the firmware update to occur correctly.

Also read these instructions:
http://www.weatronic.com/en/download...-24-dual-fhss-

P.S: I can see that your receiver is already running on 2.33. So just check the transmitter firmware version on Gigacontrol and update if necessary.
Can you just use the SD cards you already have in the TX and RX and update them?

Obviously you also need to download the 2.33 GigaControl program as well. Does it replace the current version on your computer or show up as separate program?

Too bad there isn't an "Install Wizard" or something more user friendly for us computer challenged, English speaking only people.

Thanks,

Craig

Normally yes, but I found out that the firmware update procedure is more formatting sensitive than the log writing procedure. I found that some card that would take the log writing would not be useable for firmware update unless properly formatted.

No, GigaControl comes as 2.30 only.

It replaces the current version

Yes, that would be nice...

Oli,

No problems downloading v2.30 of GigaControl but the Firmware updates will not download. Everything's fine until I OK the download and then I get a "CPanorama Bitmap Error" message saying ".\weatronic.jpg was not found". Not sure why it's looking for a jpg file.

Any suggestions on how to make it work? I have Windows 7.

Thanks,

Craig

Tried every combination going of plugging in/out red/blue batteries/no batteries. Can't get it to switch off with the red flag and it ignores the binding flag so precludes me from binding to TX

No reply from Alwin yet either. [&o]

Frustrating to have such a great bit of kit sat in front of me that I can't start using!

Just as a follow up and to acknowledge Weatronic do offer some good customer support, Alwin mailed me to say he would send me a completely new set which arrived this morning and worked first time!

The lack of response was due to him being at a consumer fair in Germany which sort of explains the lack of response - I did suggest he put an 'out of office' response on his mail to avoid the frustrations this causes his customers [&:]

lucky you Mark! I have still had no response to my email to Alwin of 2 or 3 weeks ago describing the module failures, now installed on a different tx and starting to display the same failures so it isn't my tx, and on one occasion the radio all worked normally though none of the LEDs ever lit up so it looked like it was switched off.
