The most likely reason you aren't getting much feedback on this plane is that it has just been released. I was one of the very first to pre-order one back in the middle of December, and it took till the end of April for it to arrive. It is the non-honeycomb version (the honeycomb version was just announced, so I don't think anyone has that one yet). Overall, it is impressive.
The fiberglass work is very nice, with rivets and scale details molded in. The bulkheads have carbon fiber laminated on each side and are very strong. The glue used appears to be epoxy, it is not the usual hot-melt type of adhesive found on Chinese arfs.
The landing gear are impressive, and are positive locking even without air. It is the latest design as is being used on the 1/5.5 F-16, and those are holding up well, from what I hear. The hinging is solid, and the push-pull linkages for the rudder and horizontals is robust and slop free. The only real complaint I have is the cockpit. It is kind of cheesy, and does not match the quality of the rest of the plane. I will be scratchbuilding a replacement.
I am about half-way through installing my gear (using a Rhino), and have found no problems at all in build quality. I am hoping to have it ready to go in a few weeks, so I will know more then. (waiting for an order from Dreamworks

I can say for a fact the New lighter material saves your 6 pounds of weight because I asked about this after I found out about the new material, but JackL is right it is so new new that nobody has the lighter version yet.

You might want to be careful with who you are talking to. They don't call him BIG D for nothing and he's cranky today.
Incidentally, it looks like today is a big learning day for you. Not only did you find out the Puerto Rico is a US territory (not a foreign country) and what is David's nickname, but here's another one for you....."you're" is the contraction of "you are" not "your".

LOL!!! Friggin' Tom Cruise. The guy puked his guts out on a back-seat ride. Heard he whined like a little girl wanting off the boat after a few days at sea...but I think we JO's did that, too, so I won't hold that against him
Blew us off on the invite to Oceana for the Tomcat Sunset farewell event.

Yeah,
But he gave my nephew a ride in his very own P-51 Mustang, so I'd say that's about 10 times cooler than anything you're doing these days....

Yeah,
Big D ain't the one... Funny story: I'm at California Jets, and I'm walking to the flight-line to get a better look at the Comp Arf A-4. I've got a bottle of Henry Weinhardt's root-beer in my hand and, as you know, the bottle and label looks just like a beer bottle. Well, in the wake of the Piggy saga, the guys at that field had a ZERO tolerance policy for alcohol at the field. Anyway, I'm walking by Big D, and he notices what he thinks is an open bottle of beer in my hand. All of a sudden, he steps up to me and is like, "Hey, man! You need to get rid of that right now. We don't need any problems out here, so lose the beer!" I looked up at his face, and I suddenly felt like those poor suckers in that movie, "The Ghost and The Darkness" must have felt when they're strolling along whistling and suddenly find themselves face-to-face with the Tsavo lions. I saw my whole life flash before my eyes and I couldn't get the words out fast enough! I'm stuttering like a guilty perp being interviewed by Detective Sipowicz trying to say, "It's just root beer!" All I could do was hold up the bottle for him to read (picture that poor villager holding up a beer bottle for the lion that's just stepped out of the reeds). He reads the label and says, "Oh. My bad." I think I STILL went over and poured out the root beer....

No, you can only say for fact that you were TOLD it saves 6lbs. But what you've been told and what the actual numbers are remains to be seen. I was told a lot of things too that never came to fruition. But you're new, eventually you'll figure it out.

Fenderbean, I don't know you, and honestly, your posts don't bother me, but you're burning bridges already with your "I know for fact" attitude. These guys have been here a long time, many of them have gone down the FEJ's path. To call any of these guys "the problem with the forum" reeks of arrogance. I sincerely wish you success with your F16, but don't hold them on to high of a pedestal, the fall will be shorter if it doesn't live up to your expectations.

The two version were put on a scale and it was 6 pounds thats a fact? It does not matter if I did it or someone told me, its still a fact is it not?
The "reeks of arrogance" comment is the same impression I have of some people on this forum. I was passing information to someone who asked, I had knowledge of it so I posted it. What is wrong with that? I have been on tons of forums posted for years and not once have I ran into something like this. Its a dang shame people cannot openly talk, ask questions, respond to questions, share opinions, and experiences without being treated like they are in high school and dont have clue.

I said the same thing, he showed me his LES. I was amazed plus they dont tax his retirement! Which some states here dont either, I think Florida is one that doesnt tax your retirement which I think is great. Kinda sucks I pay taxes on my military pay now and they tax it again after I retire.
He does pay some taxes but its a different tax and if I remembered correctly it was only if he made over a certain amount, I guess I should have specified more. He only pays taxes on a small amount of his pay, not like the rest of us who have the bulk amount taxed Here is a link

Todd,
I don't understand why you are somewhat disappointed with the responses to your original question.... I for one was hoping to see some response that may have a small amount of intelligence.
But, oh no, it turned out to be one of the funniest and entertaining threads I've (contraction for I have) seen in a long time.
Thanks

I feel your pain Todd, but on the other side, it has been somewhat humorous in a weird annoying sort of way.

Some people would rather have their hand in your pocket than just keep it real and say "I DON'T KNOW".
