Have a friend who just purchased an FEJ 1/6 scale f-16. This is the latest light weight version with honeycomb bulkheads and carbon reinforcement. I know the quality of both airframes and gear/cylinders have been issues in the past.... Have things improved to the point of being structurally sound and the mechanics usable / reliable? Hate to see him sink $$$ in an airframe that is only going to be a headache. Money is not really the issue... His play time is limited and just want to make sure this airframe is not going to be a frustration for him. Looking for some real world, current feedback.....
Thanks,
Todd
Thanks,
Todd

From what I found with research and talking, the f-16 should be good to go, but I will let you know soon! mine should ship on 19thish. But like I said just going what, Lowell and some people at miss jets told me.

hey todd just a little info
my first jet was the fej l 39 about 3 years ago and my experience was not what i expected yes you could say gear and structure
but i have noticed a total 180 for the f e j company in the past year
both quality and since switching gear manufactures
i have seen both fly eagle 1 5.5 f 16 fly with a mammoth and what a jet its huge and yes i was impressed
my second look was at my partners recent 1.5.5 hawk in british scheme nice quality and finish gear holds air like the rest of them
this was my final confirmation that f e j has been working on their product and is a good product
i have recently purchased the f e j s viper in a custom scheme i will post some pics upon receiving and build
i cant wait
now i know what im getting
i dont think he will have an issue
just remember to fly hard and land easy
what engine you using in f16
i have seen 36 rhinos fly 1:6
and a 200 go big mammoth hahahah
you need the power
make sure you do two vents

Hey gtoro how does the rhino fly the 1:6 F-16 thats what i have for mine. I dont really care about super fast speeds since I am doing the more scale side but good power for the weight is what i am hoping on.
What turbine are you going to put in Viper? I have 30lb super eagle that I would like to use in the same type of jet. Looking forward to seeing your thread on the viper! Im going to do one on my F-16

Let's see:
Todd asks for first hand experience re the FEJ 1/6 F-16 and so far the responses are about:
Fei Bao, Jet Legend, SkyMaster & "I was told"
And to think people still doubt that our education system is in trouble! It's called "reading comprehension" folks!
And yes, I'm in a cranky mood this morning![:@]

I am asking for real world feedback SPECIFICALLY regarding the FEJ 1/6 scale F-16. I am looking for responses from someone with (recent) first hand experience with this plane and only this plane please [&:]

I heard from a friend at bandcamp once who's step-brother's dad was into rc and and he had this super fast blinged out electric foamy f-16... It would go straight up out of sight, on a pair of double A's.
I was thinking the same thing too. I am tired of being a quiet observer after reading all the useless feedback you received. Sorry to be a contributor to it though.

for the airframe and scale performance rhino is great
if you need vertical and aerobatic alpha climbs and rolls
my budd switched to p 200 and is quite happy
have not seen the 1/6 fly eagle yet f 16
i have only seen the 1 5.5 fly eagle jet fly this weekend with mammoth and it moves
good build
as far as my viper it will be the cheetah
definitely want to go power
raj in the fly eagle site had it with k 80 for maiden and said it was fine
but has recently switched to k 140 also 31 lbs he said there is definitely a difference
check your weight eagle is heavier i believe but it should be nice
but definitely a cheetah 31 lbs need the power
also will have smoke system
need plane show ready cant wait

Rick,
I know, but this seems better than strangling the living sh%t out of somebody!
I seem to be in one of those moods today!

Hey Todd, This is Gerry Hinshaw
Ok to start, What I have found is that FEJ has worked it out that if the plane sits in the sun, The honey comb will NOT show through anymore. They had a problem with this before but is fixed now. The Gear is Great! Still went over it to just make sure. The home work has been done, I hope! But so far all is good!!!
