This passed by fairly unnoticed I think. Not a patch on the 2010 scheme.

Totally agree with you not a patch on 2010!
Interestingly if you go to the pictures of the Hawk being painted they also show you the design on the helmet, it's a shame they did not do the same when they photographed the 2010 Hawk being painted.
Has anyone got pictures of the helmet design for the 2010 Display Hawk?
Would be nice to finsh off my pilot in my CARF Hawk

Alan,
The picture I have of the 2010 display aircraft (Taken at RAF Cottesmore families day) shows the pilot to have the standard green RAFflying helmet.

I have got two pics which shows a bit of detail red, white and blue stripes. I think they use the black flying suit and painted helmet on show days.
I wonder if the design on the helmet is similar to the design that flows from the wing over the flaps?
