You'll be seeing a lot of information concerning Desert Jet Storm (2012) during the coming months, but we want to announce, for your advance planning, the dates as 10, 11, and 12 February. A special invitation is extended to our friends in Montana. Come to warm Arizona and see what the sun looks like during the month of February . As usual, Speedworld is the venue. Plenty of RV parking, and its only 6 miles from downtown Surprise. We'll post a link to the club website as soon as the new information goes online.

Thanks for the early notice Chris. I can't wait. I think it is the premier winter Jet Ralley in the West. Great facility, great people, and great weather. What more could you ask for?

Hello Chris Thanks for the classy invitation. Desert Jet Storm is definitely at the top of my bucket list and I hope the logistics and the economy will work out for me this year. I know Kelly would love to make it as well. You fellas sure put on a great show with lots of warm hospitality. WARM and SUN are GOOD when you live in Montana. Thanks again Chris, FLY NAVY !!

There will be early flying...........most likely starting on Monday; although final field preps will continue through Tuesday evening. This will be the best DJS ever!

Just a reminder that Desert Jet Storm 2012 is coming. For you guys in the North Country; our daily temperatures are now in the 90's and our evening lows are in the 60's. Nothing but SUN ! For RV'ers: You are welcome to park beginning anytime Monday. No cost, but there are no hook ups available. We're hoping to fix that for 2013........Everyone is welcome to fly their Jets Monday-Sunday, although general flying will also be conducted on Monday and Tuesday. Jets only Wednesday-Sunday. A new seal-cote is going over our runway and pit area this coming Thursday. Stay tuned for more details about DJS 2012!

Bought my wife a new i-Phone today...the buttering up process has begun! It REEEEAALLY helps that its not right ON Valentines Day this year as it gives us guys a chance to get back with some flowers and play the part... win/win [8D]

I'm going about this rally differently for an experiment. This time, my family will be involved in a big PHX vacation plan for these dates. As the dates approach, it will become apparent that we will be driving to PHX for a fun change of pace, and by the way, hey look at this, a really cool jet event will be going on at the same time, so why not indeed!!!! Wifey and kidos will be at the pool and the bar tab via cabana boy at the resort may be high, but so will my jet so it's all good.

Field preparations are nearly complete; we have a new runway surface, taxiways are refurbished, pit tables are newly painted, and the field restaurant has been blessed by State Food Inspectors. The following link will take you to pre-registration:

If you plan on staying in one of the hotels listed ensure you ask for the Speedway discount. Once again, you're welcome to fly all week, but dedicated jetting will be Wednesday through Sunday. Remember; we're the valley of the SUN!

Pre-registration has started and we already have commitments from England and Asia. Our Grand kids, who live in Utah are riding their sleighs today, so while winter has hit the northern tier of the USA, the flying weather in Phoenix is spectacular. See for yourselves..........
