Hi, I'm buying a kingtech 140f, I already have a k80, and it runs perfect, but I've heard that some people had problens with the 140, like bearing problens and other one have a GNV problem, resulting in overheating.
I don't know if these are isolated cases or the turbine has a problem itself.

Can I go on and buy or not?

megafly, I agree with you regarding the K80. There are a couple guys who have them down at my field and they run like clocks so I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

Even if you did have an issue which isn't likely, Barry is great to deal with and will look after you. I personally would buy any kingtech with confidence. Can't say that about a few other brands.

The engine is great, also if you want to save some money you can buy direct from Taiwan if you buy 3 or more engines the give you 25% discount and include shipping all over the world. I got a few friends together and I bought 4 K80F and they shipped direct to NY for $1368.00 each. They will sell any of there engines at that price. Its awesome service 5 days and you get them at your door

Barry will still support you. The warranty is transferrable I believe and Barry is kingtech USA. He wants all kingtech owners to be happy.

Out of curiosity do you know where these are built in Taiwan? I am curious, I used to live there is why I ask.

the last K140F with the new generation ok ECU and a very nice MTH pump.

That is wild, I lived about 10 km from there! how times change.

Mine has worked flawlessly, couldn't be more happy! Flying my F-15 with a K-140F.

Well, I just bought the 140, it's in my car
It's the old ECU, and I don't know what pump it has, when I get home I will post some pictures, she is a little burned? I think it's beuse they tested in the factory, all the acessories are packed and never has beem opened.
I will make a test stand to fire her up!
