What's wrong with RCU

I'm having problems to. By the time you type something the thing will lock up when you try to post it. You have to go back and then immediately post or it won't go through.

It is not a problem with your server. Everybody is having problems with this site. I have written about this several times, and get a reply from a moderator, oh, it's your problem, your cookies are set wrong or some other lame excuse. This has gone since they switched servers about 6 months ago. They will not fix it,

same here no matter what browser, chrome, Explorer, Fire Fox, servers have got to be slowing down, they probably cut 'em back

Me too. I have gotten in the habit of making a quick copy (Ctrl C) of my post before I hit OK, just in case I loose it.

This site seems to be on its deathbed, between the infighting, the over moderation and now problems even using the site it may be nearing its last days. I have enjoyed it for many years but times change, I remember only having the newsgroups to look at.

Did the service die completely for a few minutes? I lost replies like everyone else last night, and for a short time today, no service at all. No home page or anything. Just error messages

How Ironic.. as I tried to load this thread I received this..
I've been very quiet... but I am over it....sadly this site has become a pain to use.....
I love to help folks out and ask a question or two myself... but it just isn't worth the headaches.....
The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

could be nothing to do with RCU, give them 24hrs to see if its sorted out.
I think this site has very serious problems that have only worsened since the buyout. Many threads about said problems have been posted and seem to be ignored by the mods/management. The 'over-moderation' is another symptom... With all the ad revenue, should be some left over for improvements.
Sun Spots??

Unfortunately, this thread will fade like all the others.

I find it usefull to triple or quadruple click everything when it doesn't repond. , it seems to hurry things along a bit. This is the only site out of my bunches of favorites I have saved that is slow like this, so I know it is not my computer or internet. Having said that it is still in the top ten of all those sites because of the content. It would be #1 if it worked properly.
