Nice! Back to the initial question......... Take it no one care much for use of gyros on this particular model then??

I have gyros on both rudder and ailerons (2x Futaba GY351). First few flights only with gyro on the rudder, and it flew very nicely. In windy conditions, I did not like the way the wings were "rocking".... It took away the scale apperance. Gyro on the ailerons fixed that beautifully, and now I love flying my MIG in windy conditions as well

So, you do not need gyro(s), but I would recommend at least one on the rudder.

I am pretty sure the settings are 25% gain on both rudder and ailerons. I have played around with different settings, so I check when I get home on friday. The other potmeter on the gyro is set at 100% (travel?)

Correct answer on friday

We think buy an MIG 15, and, compared with BVM-MG 15, whichi the best to fly and land ?

I've long been interested in both the C-ARF MiG 15 and the newest GJC 15. Wonder if Dave W. has flown the latest GJC yet and what he thinks of it? The earlier versdion seemed to be a bomb, reading between the lines from old threads. Does seem the C-ARF 2012 model is a winner and would fly perfectly well off grass with 18-pounds thrust (I have a Wren SS). I saw one fly many years ago on a Wren 54 (12-pounds?), had 2-pounds needed nose weight, but flew very well!

If you can be candid, Dave, which model do you prefer and why? Advantages/disadvantages of each? Tx!

Checked my gyro settings on rudder and ailerons, and they are as I wrote earlier: 25% gain, and 100% on the other potmeter on both gyros.

Here is a pic of my installation:

Thinking of converting the retracts to EL. I know LADO can do the job, but anybody else? What are you Jet-Gurus using?

RX - gyro - powerbox (if you use it) - servo...

I have seen some pilots connect: RX - powerbox - gyro - servo, but then the gyro will have no protection if the servo overloads, and high amps will travel through the gyro. I believe it is best to put the gyro before the powerbox.
