Hi Guys
i fly jets at the Raydon site most of the time.
As long as we fly in the designated area, which is more than big enough there are no problems.
Hope to see you all on the day, and pray for good weather.
Regards Steve

Hi Slick 33,
Some of you maybe aware that 3 years ago we were going to hold this event but we had a local complain about noise so we as a club decided not to go ahead with that meeting a similiar situation to Bickley jets which i understand they cancelled there's two years back now.
The complaint we found out later was not to do with turbine jets, however, the reason we have gone for scale jets is that they are generally a lot quieter because most are fully ducted installations and they are not flown at 300mph so don't take up so much sky.
It also gives the spectators more exciting aircraft to look at . Our last failed attempt had about 30 pilots booked in and we were hoping to have a good warm up meeting ready for the Bickley jets in June .Because we have a good grass field of about 300 metres any scale jet can be flown from here.I have even flown John Wright's Horten from here and we are picky were we fly this model.
We had quite a few bickley members book in last time and we also like to reciporate there meeting too.Two good jets meetings reasonably local within a month of each other and of course perefect weather.
As this is our first proper jet meeting we are going to restrict it to about 30 pilots so please book in as soon as possible so you get a place.
I will try and get a few shots of the airfield and i will put up an aerial map of the site shortly.

Quite a pointless and unhelpful post. It might actually mean more if the grammar and indeed spelling were correct

just collected the trophies for sunday's event and have just checked the weather forecast and there seems no change with light winds straight down the runway.Although this is a scale event and i want to make sure those planes fly first so they can be judged for the trophies i will then open the meeting up to any sport jet that you may have with you. So if there are pilots that still want to come bare this in mind and e.mail me asap [email protected] .

Hi Gregg,
Thanks for the support and was sorry to see you had cancelled Bickley jets as i was hoping to get a few people from the raydon meetimg to come along.I think maybe next year just do it as a one day event and keep the overheads low.
I will post some picures of the meeting on here asap.
Dave
