When will it be possible to post photos again? I have a Mac using Safari and I have not been able to post photos for a couple of weeks. I also cannot get a youtube link to work like it used to.

A work around is to email your photos from your computer or phone to [email protected] and they will display here by embedding a link. You can also upload directly to www.enthuzeus.com and it will work the same way.
When you paste the link in RCU or any other forum, it shows up like this:

Still not possible to post pictures or a Youtube link.
I tried the enthuses method suggested as a workaround and I got a warning message that this may be a Phishing site.
This should have a sticky on it till it is fixed.

John have you tried using Photobucket? It is an online album that automatically creates links you can copy and paste into forums etc. I've been using it since the RCU errors and it works well

They would only be missing if the guy whose album it is, has deleted the photo's from their server. As i use it as an online album i have no need to delete the photo's so that wouldn't be a problem

Hi John
When you have uploaded you photos to photobucket you can place them in an album. When viewing the page of photos if you hover over the photo you want a link for, a box pops up with the image codes. Click on the one that says "IMG code" and that copies the link. Then you come back to rcu and below the text you have entered just right click and press "paste" (or press Ctrl + V) and that pastes the link to your photo onto the post. The bottom link is meant to post a thumbnail (small picture) that you can click on to show full size, but that isn't working at the minute. I've posted the former method below so you can see what i mean. The code would look like this but with [IMG] at either end http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/a...h_0469398f.jpg
regards

The problem with Photobucket and other third party sites is that you have to manually add the link for each photo.
Enthuzeus was specifically for forum users. You add a single embed code and all subsequent photos show up automatically. You can also paste the embed code on other forums and photos will update automatically there too. Also, it allows you to send photos to forums while you're away from your computer. When you create a gallery, you're given an email address to send photos to from your phone.
The other benefit of Enthuzeus is that each gallery is collaborative, so other people can add photos.
I just sent a picture of my Hawk 100 to the RCU Picture gallery. Notice that the photo was added automatically to the image at the top of this thread.

We have all been complaining about this site for a long time now and its just gotten worse.
Dubd has a great solution.
But for me I am sick of it. I have been doing more on this site.... http://www.rcjetaddiction.com/
Love it and its run by one of the best jet pilots in the world. Yes we loose a bunch of great info from the past but at somepoint its time to cut the cord to this horrible site. Also I have found the new site if full of good pilots that fly planes. A ton of people here just give thier 2 cents but dont fly jets.

Thanks gunradd! I love RC Jet Addiction! Enthuzeus works with RCJA too.
. One of the benefits is the ability to post photos when you're not at your computer. For Spring Fling, we shared photos *during* the event from our phones directly to the RC Jet Addiction Spring Fling thread. You can can't do that with a forum, so Enthuzeus fills that gap.

Maybe it's time for another wakeup call for Internet Brands. Does RCJA really have the resources to sustain when it reaches the level of RCU activity...and I'm only talking about the amount of traffic here in the jet forum.

Many thanks for finding out the problem. I have just posted some pictures and will post some flying shots when I receive them. Not thinking of taking over the web site???!!!
Nice to see that the Spanish still have a sense of humour. In the UK we too have to remain in a positive frame of mind after coming one from last in the Eurovison song contest, I guess our choice of a 78 year old was not a great one.

It seems that work for me. At least on under 150kb files.
BTW, my new model of EAT (Extreme Air Trap)

Also dont forget about the search engine that cant search..................
Everytime I search for a thread the thing comes up with old threads from many years ago. Even on my own thread about my F22 I typed in the thread name exactly and I get all kinds of old threads and not one link to mine. Its like nothing recent exists on the search function.
Also thier was an awsome F15 video a few weeks ago. Th thread was called (for all the F15 lovers) or something like that. Well I wanted to look at that thread again and I cant find it now..............

I tried putting a couple ads on yesterday and today and had problems with the 500 error when uploading images. I then used smaller files and they loaded with no problem. If you use AOL, send them in an email to yourself, select the "best for sending" or similar and not the best for printing and the images will arrive in your email as smaller files. Then open the email and use teh save as and name them so you know they are the smaller files and they will load most likely.
