RE: Another A-10
Give me some time you lot.. The paint and aeropoxy was still wet when I left to go to the airport this morning. Also I am waiting for Mr Miller to flex his trade card for those sorts of purchase out and throw a fellow modeller a helping hand! [&:]
Dom. I too liked the Arctic camo, but its common as much now, so time for something different I guess. You know your choices for scale schemes are limited when you start seeing more and more of a non scale scheme applied to ARTF scale jets. The old one had two whistling bombs, so this one has 4 releasable BVM bombs with the same whistles attached.
Nick. I get a finger nail in behind the hatch and lift it off the magnets. If I get fed up with that, I just for a small piano wire handle ( As per my last A-10 )
Regards Al

RE: Another A-10
I hope so Dick... It may very well be the test flight there ( Depending on the paperwork )
Dan. I am with Tim on this one. I have lock wired the fittings on the tank as they were not as snug as the ones you can see. Those on show were such a tight fit, I can't see any reason to have lock wire on them. I will double check for expansion, but I can't see it happening myself.
Bob... You lucky, lucky man. I am surprised you have not bummed a go in the back seat of one of these yet?
It's just that time of year ( Leading up to a new season ) So lots of new planes coming through. It will sow down soon to one per month maybe
Regards Al

I think there were only three 2-seaters made, and I dunno whether any are still fying...but what a ride that would be! Saw one demo at RIAT last year and I couldn't believe the snatch pulls the driver was making at the bottom of dummy firing runs...but then the A-10 was truly built like a brick s**t-house!
Cheers,
Dick

Knowing hawk Spawny ( Lucky ) Sideshow Bob seems to be ( Anyone that sends photos of himself back seating in a T-33 or an f-4 needs a kick in the nuts ) I would not be surprised to see him sat in the back seat of a hog!
Only joking bro. Lots of love for you as always. Just make sure you make it out to BITW this year please. I need someone to take the flack away from my choice of attire

Actually Fairchild only produced one 2 seater, was intended to sell the enhanced night attack capability of the late 1970's technology.
The thing is so easy to fly that there was never a perceived need for a 2 seat trainer version.

RE: Another A-10
Was hoping you can help me, I have the 1/7 scale.I'm just installing the fuel cells.
One question?
Are all 4 fuel cells tied together and feed both engines or is one back and one front for each engine or is the two backs for one engine -and two fronts for the other engine?
Thanks
Doug

Al, I just love your fantasy scale schemes, hope to see this on the show circuit soon, yourdisplays with the previousA-10 were just awesome and this one has to be the best looking yet and I cannot see it upsetting the scale police too much. Mind you I did notice you were several rivets short on that UC door...........................
