RE: Another A-10
Hi Joe
Yes. All the markings we use are from tailormade. I have a feeling the U/C ones may not all be from the A-10 sheet. I think we used some spare ones from a Hawk that we did a while back.
Hi Ed.
Thankyou. Glad you like it. I would love to have had this on the show circuit by now, but the weather here has been so dire, plus I have not really been in the mood to get it through the LMA scheme in a hurry. So it may very well be a next year model at this rate. Ref the U/C door rivets..... I will have a word, but you just can't get he staff these days
Regards Al

RE: Another A-10
I don't think I have ever waited so long to test a new model once it was completed, but some 7 weeks after it was ready!!!!
I hope to test fly my new Hog this weekend coming. The dire weather and a busy schedule has meant that I have just not had the opportunity to get it out and play. With new projects coming in thick and fast I really need to get this one out of the workshop asap.. So wish me luck!

RE: Another A-10
Now I know why the Mibo A-10 costs what it does! It could cost twice as much and still be good value for money in my eyes. I managed 8 flights back to back across 2 days, which in my book for a brand new, complex model is pretty good going. Not one single bit of wrenching, or repairing. It went back in the van just as it came out, and is ready to do another 8 more! Oh how I love this plane.
I was a bit dubious if the P140 Rx's would be the right power plant for this big old Hog. I even had a pair of 180's on order just in case. Well I need not worry. The 140's are perfect, just a tad on the over powered side which is nice. This is my first G4 A-10 and again I was worried that despite it looking allot better than my older G3. For some reason it might not fly as well.... How wrong was I? It flew even better than my old Arctic camo scheme.
Now my hours worth of flying is done, all I need to do is send the paperwork off and wait for my certificate to display to arrive and I am all set..... Happy, Happy days!
Big Thanks to Paul Metcalf for yet another great build
Ray Habgood for painting it as only he can
Geoff White for inspecting the flights for me
and my crew chief Simon Taylor, who whit hut his help in filling and prepping this and all of my planes, I would be stuck without!
Regards Al

Huge thanks to Paul Mcbride for this video that he took and edited from last weekends test flights. Please take time to have a look at his You tube Channel and subscribe as he is a great RC camera man and has other videos of the same quality.

Oh yea kudos to McBride on a superb video.
Sure wish I had a video of one of your Hawg flight at Jets Over Kentucky.
I’ve see a lot of MIBO A-10 flights over last 6 or so years but nothing comparable to your performance.
Cheers, Roger

Agreed! Ali's low level "tactical" terrain following flight (on Friday?) in the pseudo rain shower was ridiculous!!!!! I hope someone got that on video?

Ali, everything about that video was awesome! I really like how you're able to make the A-10 look like it carries a lot of momentum, but also look nimble. Thanks for sharing!
