We missed you guys this year Jason! No miracle field repairs.
Unfortunately, Jake (little man Bottita) lost his Bandit. I'll let them explain what happened. Very sad to see it being brought back in pieces.
It was super cool of Barry from Kingtech to come out and support some guys, and George Manning was of course ripping up the skies with his Flash. All the attendees did a great job of just having fun! Ron from E-Power was of course slinging his RC crack. All those gadgets that you never knew you needed until he packaged them up in a group of three!
A special thanks to George from Dreamworks Mobile for coming out and putting up with the beautiful weather. I saw him parked in his spot.....I still wonder how he got out of the area with that big 'ol trailer. Heck, he may still be there!
Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the event!

Sin City Jets was a success, was not a huge event, but a success. I say that because everyone had a good time! Perfect weather and great skies made for great flying!
Many thanks to George and the Dreamworks Mobile Hobby Shop, it was great to have him and his lovely wife on site to support the crew. High 5 to Ron with Epower for coming out and bringing his wares...
As always George Manning(sp?) showed up with a gorgeous T-33 and flew it to perfection. He also had his trusty classic flash....
Barry, from Kingtech, also showed up with a YF22 that he flew several times. As someone who has seen a full scale YF22 flight demo I can say that he flew his model in a very scale fashion and he nailed every landing. He was also able to support several Kingtech customers on site. He is a class act and I am glad to call him friend.
As Chad mentioned, my son Jake lost his trusty Bandit on his first flight of the event. Doing one of his signature slow rolls on the deck...he decided that he needed to bail out for whatever reason and when he reversed the roll the right wing exploded and the jet was lost. It happened in an eye blink and there was no way to save her. I am fairly sure the wing leading edge opened up and that was that. We never counted the exact number of flights but based on turbine run time at 8 minutes a flight we estimate 500+ flights. Its sad that she is gone but I think we got our monies worth out of her...
Paul and I would like to thank everyone that came out to fly with us, and we look forward to next year (we have some plans in the works that should make SCJ a event that can't be missed).

Bummer about Jake's Bandit Dave[:@]
Sorry I missed the pleasant sounding event guys...
Good news is that it was about time Jake's Dad stepped up and put him in an Ultra Flash or an Ultra Lightning anyway!
Maybe an Ultra Bandit instead for Christmas? Pretty Please??? [8D]

Thank you both for the kind words, definitely had a great time at your beautiful field there, and Dave, as far as I am concern, SCJ already can't be missed, whatever plan you guys are doing or not, count me in for 2013.
Cheers,
Barry

Well, Maureen and I just pulled in (literally minutes ago), and are now standing in line doing our citizen's duty.
The weather was awesome, hospitality outstanding, and very nice field. We had a great time and want to thank Paul, Dave and the whole crew for making us feel more than welcomed and supporting Dreamworks Mobile! We also want to pay Vince T. a special thank you for taking us on his boat to Lake Mead Thurs. evening and showing us the Hoover Dam from the water and a beautiful sunset.
