Default Getting a hold of Skymaster?

I have been trying to get a hold of someone at Skymaster Jets for several days now. All of my emails have either bounced back, or have been delayed undelivered indicating their server is not accepting connections. I have a plane and the fuselage is not cured properly with a major area that is soft, and paint bubbling off. Are there any other ways of getting hold of Anton or John over there besides email ?

thanks,

Voy

I tried 3 times to order a Hawk cockpit from skymaster at the email addy on their site; <[email protected]> with no response.

I ended up ordering one from FEJ as James responded less than an hour after my inquiry.

These are some of the main reasons why I ordered a FEJ large Hawk a couple of month's back. A good friend of mine had issues with a known structual problem with one of their jets a couple of years back. He emailed Anton for 6 weeks with no return response. When he came on RCU to voice these issues, Anton got off his hi horse and got right back to him.. my friend decided not to deal with Anton or skymaster since even when Anoton offered a deal for the problems he had.

Point being where is the support after the sale? They stand there with their hand out to take your money, but hide under a rock when you get their product.

James from FEj has been right there with any of my coorespondence with them..

This has been my experience with most of the jet guys I've talk to regarding Skymasters products.. hence going else where.

Hi guys,

I am very sorry to hear about your bad experiences with SkyMaster.

My situation is exactly the opposite. In my fleet I have 7 SkyMaster jets, yes some had issues. BUT every single time either John or Anton has resolved them for me quickly and efficiently.

Skymaster has my support and I can only recommend them based on the excellent products and service they have given me.

Cheers,

Jan

I have had nothing but EXCELLENT service from JOhn and Anton. I have several of their jets and would not hesitate to buy from them again. I can't believe that you guys panic if an email goes unanswered for a few days. Lighten up. They have been doing business for about 10 years now and they aren't going anywhere

Mickey when I send in not one but three e-mails, all saying "TAKE MY DARN MONEY" and I can't get a response back, I'm going to start developing some issues with Skymaster confidence. The e-mails are coming back as undeliverable which generally means something is wrong. If this was a one time situation then that's different but I've had this happen more than once over the course of a few years. It's frustrating when you are dealing with thousands of dollars and can't simply buy what you are after.

E-mail is not rocket science. Maybe they should switch to a Gmail account or even a Hotmail account, at least those seem to stay functional. My local ANYTHING has a phone number you can talk to people with, or a working e-mail address. Why does a company of Skymasters reputation cheap out on the most important aspect? Communicating IS business and if they fail in that department what are us mere mortals supposed to think?

I have had issues with Skymaster in the past myself, however after some communication, issues in the end always got resolved. The planes I have had from SM have been very pleased with. Out of all the Chinese ARF manufacturers out there, Id rather deal with them, than some of the more serious deign and manufacturing issues other manufacturers have...

The only company that really stands out above and beyond is CARF , however their products differ somewhat in category and offering ..

Resently I sent a few emails to Skymaster and Extream Jets and even called and left a message.
I never recieved a reply. Me emails did not bounce back either.
All I wanted was a quote on a F15 with the possibilty of buyiing one.
Again,, no response
I did contact BVM and talked to a very nice girl there about a F15.
About 2-3 days latter BVM gave me a quote.
Why can't Skymaster return a simple email?
If I have a issue with a jet and want to talk to a REP from Skymaster,,,, Will they return my email???
Should I have taken a chance and bought from them?

Well I didn't.

Just flustered

I have had problems dealing direct with Skymaster, a lot of problems.
But never a problem dealing with BVM. If I was going to get another Skymaster plane, no question, I would order it through BVM only.

Well I got a PM from John. He instructed me to resend the e-mails to two different email addresses. So I did a few days ago...and here I am sitting and waiting again. I'm not a huge fan of FEJ because of past quality issues but maybe it's time to take a chance. At least I know I can get in touch with them without issue. I can't believe Skymaster simply doesn't want my money.

I did give up and bought from Fly Eagle.......
I got a response from Fly Eagle in a short period of time and bought it
My new F15 will be here shortly
Personally,,, I don't think Skymaster is handling this very well.

Again....... Flustered

Having had problems with Skymaster before on the quality side if things, and having an issue hopefully getting sorted now, I must say that it does seem that thir stuff works more often than not when compared to the other manufacturers. SM seems to have a better quality both structurally as well as cosmetically. Their landing gear is some of the best there is ( FEJ, FeiBao, etc , have been plagued with gear problems .. ) on the other hand its not cool to see tails ripping off of SM A-10s either .. but then again, BVM had booms ripping off of their KingCats, and noses ripping off of Ultra Bandits .. Every manufacturer will have issues. Just depends what kind of issues you are willing to deal with :\ ... its probably not easy for them to deal with us hobbyists sometimes either , lol

For me , ( so far ) CARF has been the only company without any issues yet and I have been through several of their planes... then again, i did have to wait 5+ months on a spare replacement elevator once ...

Really Voy? Have you read the A4 threads? Apparently you haven't. I put CARF right there in the you blow category, based on the A4 thread.

Default RE: Getting a hold of Skymaster?

well, I got a hold of SM, but now I still have an issue with my airplane to deal with :\ part of the fuselage is not cured and is still tacky and soft (either epoxy not mixed right on layup, or bad paint prep ? ) and the paint on the other side of that is bubbling off. There really is no way to repair this without cutting a chunk of the fuse out .. ( not an option obviously ) . SM offered to fix it, but I'd have to send the entire fuselage over to them including vert stab (to match paint pattern ) , and this ends up costing me well over $500 to just ship all of it to them back to China. I offered SM that I'd take a hit and just buy a new fuse from them if they can do it at 1/2 the cost .. still over $500 out of my pocket, but at least its not going back and fort for who knows how long :\ .. If SM agrees I'll suck it up and just get a new fuse .., otherwise, if I have to wait and deal with the hassle of shipping back and forth, i really think its up to them to arrange for pick up and shipping . Its too bad they have sporadic issues like this, because when you get a well built plane, they are awesome jets! I loved my 1st MB 339, however that too took some going back and fort to get one that was built right ( the first TWO shipped had issues, including wings that were not glued at all inside ) Friend of mine recently had a F5 blow apart int he air. The formers were not glued!! , and SM replaced the plane which is very commendable, but he still lost a lot of equipment... anyway, I'm waiting to see what the reply from SM is ...

That is sad. A friend had similar issue with Camlex and it took a lot of effort to get it right.

Voy, did you use a local distributor?
