I'm just going to be the CHICK that shows up, flies her husband's well-maintained machines, hangs out to have fun and invites you over to the RV at the end of the day for a home-cooked meal and a frosty beverage.

Perhaps an additional category is needed for those of us who burn kero just to have fun. We freely talk about our hobby with anyone with an interest, and will help a fellow flyer retrieve his plane from a tree, ditch, hole, and sometimes from two feet of water. We are not in the hobby to impress anyone, but simply to divert our attention from the stresses of the work week and hang out with people who share a similar fondness for model jets.[8D]

F me. Thanks for a good 'ol gut laugh. I haven't laughed this hard since i saw a "looser" compilation on American Idol.
So which is the "hey, can you land my jet for me? ....guy" He's got enough money (barely)to buy and build some nice jets and spends his day at the field trying to talk other pilots into taking them up for a test flight. When he does finally decide to fly one, he's so damn far in over his head that he has to get someone else to land it.

Hmm, the fact that the OP made this thread about rc jet pilots instead of rc pilots definitely eliminates him from the cool guy category.
