i simply cant believe the amount of people in this thread that think the "BIG 29" is OK as long as hees having fun...
i diddent think that even a idiot would find that quality fit for flight. not even a person with his first trainer ARF.
I posted this video, so we all could have a laugh over the misrable quality, not matter if we fly 20000$ jets or 100$ foarmies...

Safety aside , I give the guy credit for his efforts as long as no one gets hurt. I don't think he would be allowed to fly in the US either .

just as long that his poor work dissent lead to his jet killing your child... then its ok...
that jet would NEVER be allowed to takeoff in Denmark

Good for him, this hobby is about putting in what you want to your ability and getting out what you want., not what others want or for others, I admire what he has done, at least he has done it and built it him self. It's called self satisfaction. Well done that man.

Yeah, that vid has been out for a few years. Hey, it looks and flys better than some import ARFs I've seen on the market today. Just because its a sloppy detail doesn't mean it's not structurally sound. I've also seen worse installs.

Hats off to the guy for doing what he did! Looked rough buy flew awsome. I've had jets (expensive BVM stuff too) that looked great and literally came apart in the air. Some of the best planes I've ever had looked rough. I say more power to him!

Had a great time, No one got hurt, good for him! Sounds to me that the elitist jet guys dont want him in their group. Remember that not everything has to be beautiful to be a great flyer! Just look at an A-10 as far as it being unsafe, no way to tell from just a video, I know a guy who is one of the worst installers in the hobby! His stuff just looks terrible but always works and without flaw, cant judge a book by its cover.
Sure, it may not be what YOU would do, but that doesnt make it wrong!

I'm in favor of modeller, he represents what this hobby is all about.
Think most have forgotten where the rc turbine jet engines have come from to today standards. Rc jets come from tinkerers with the same spirit as this guy.
Fore sure the plane is rough and the install a rats nest but thats the owners taste.
cheers

He "done good". In fact I expect the boys in Hong Kong will clone this baby, add a $17.953 axis stabilization system and market it as a trainer. Expect it on the shelf of your LHS ah,maybe say, day after tomorrow.

Yeah!
Cuz heaven knows an out-of-control missile like a jet held together with a band-aid and a prayer needs to hit a house in order to hurt someone...

I really don't see the reason to say this jet was not safe. I did not see any houses in the video. It was probably a hazard to itself and some dirt. I applaud the guy for building it.

Maybe this gentleman's work would be of a higher standard if more people offered him constructive criticism rather than just pointing and laughing.
