Steigenberger hotel might be your only choice now, we have stayed there 10 years. Perfect location.
Other than that you will be some Km away to find space at this late stage

Hi, For those in the UK and still want to go I've just been online with Expedia and found flights from London (LGW) to Dusseldorf early Fri to Mon eve inc a 3 night stay in Bad Neuenahn are still available for a littel over £300, not many left so be quick. You will need Car Hire but its fairly cheap so just add £85-100 for a small car. Much cheaper than driving the whole way in your own car and ferry or tunnel and much quicker, unfortunately for me I would have to catch a train from Bournemouth to Gatwick are the train fairs are dearer than the flights!!
