Fantastic!!! great job in the windy conditions. congratulations.

Great aircraft the A330. If I were to build an airliner, that would build the same, either a -200 or -300, and it has to have the CF6-80 engines

Thanks

Hi,
Congratulations on a very nice plane and flight! Would be interested to see how you fixed the turbine inside the engine shroud and how the whole engine is fixed to the wing.
Thanks and congrats once again.

Hi Reuben
here are some photos showing the detail. There is no direct connection between fiberglass parts and engine. I've used a strong wood fixed to the wing (with epoxy and carbon rod) in one end and the engine in the other end.

Sad end of another wonderful A330:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txYz2klh5MA

At 5.44 a malfunction of the starboard turbine induces the crash.
Earlier at take off (2.16) something fell off the plane. Not sure if there is a relation to the crash

What I was told by the owner of the A330 (I do not want to give his name without his permission) was, because of one engine failure.
maybe it was possible to save it with immediate rudder input. But this, of course requires some miliseconds....

Now I'm working on 777 project. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1878621 and have question about Fouler flap hinges. Did you try to make it or use non faulerflap hinges?

hi Mike
I've used the flap hinge which sold by dreamsworkrc. It has a acceptable fowler effect. If you want more fowler effect, you can make maybe...
by the way, your project seems fantastic. Where did you get the right airfoil pf the wings?

Hi again Mike,
here is the offset flap hinge that I've used in my A330

I choose it by myself I think that the original airfoils not suitable for model and I use HQ-3-15 airfoil with aerodynamic dihedral: on centroplan plus 3 degree, on the end of the wing minus 2 degree

OK, thanks. I ordered my gears from HAWE too, and I thought that 2,8 kg is very heavy. So, for HAWE it's normal

one more question:

what air valve do you use for landing gear? I have 2 variants of choice: http://www.airpowernet.com/twe3/prod...roducts_id=689 and http://jet-tronics.de/Doublevalve.html

Mike I've used this product :http://www.airpowernet.com/twe3/prod...roducts_id=380
But I'm not sure using this valve again in my other project. Firstly, its user manual is written only for Albert Einstein. You can understand it only with a lot of excercise and sometimes by braking your gear doors. Even after 1 year, I still can not programe the door delay time. In my 3 test flight, I had problems with the door sequencing. It works in the ground, but fails in the air ???

So, If I were you, I would stay away from airpower....

weight : 29 kg
engine : 2x Jetcat P80SE

Hi Bülent.
How is your A330?

My 777-project on finish line

Flying weight will be ~19 kg. Wing area is 102 dm2. So wingload is 187 g/dm2.
According Norbert website wing area of your A330-300 is 141,3 dm2 and wingload of your model is 205 g/dm2. Is it correct?
How is it flying with that wingload: so comfortable or need to get lighter? Can you tell about you filling of fly.
Thanks
Mikhail
