I am offering an airfield at low cost and not asking the JMA for anything except that some people turn up to the event and have a good days flying, for that I get called a fool by the chairman and a whinger some of us have budgets to manage,we do not all earn thousands to spend on what ever we want, cheers at least I know where I stand.Keith
Why not just organise a Jet event at Sculthorpe and invite more local pilots so that travel costs are low. If you were to get say 20 pilots for one day the cost each would be very cheap. Although not a JMA member I am sorry you are having this hastle given your kind offer

Well Said Keith. I am not a JMA member and after reading that post from the Chairman I never will be.

Hi Dean,
Yeah, weather is looking good for the weekend. I am looking forward to trying my F104 and/or Hunter with the upgraded 180's in them. Will also bring either my Ultra Lightning or Bandit(depending on whether I want to wind up Jet Rebel).
Is Keith coming for the weekend, what about Schroder(why can I never spell his name)?
Geoff.

Only 320 Miles, think yourself lucky. It's even further for us who live west of London but I am sure it will be worth it as I believe its a fantastic site.
Guess you are bringing the Viper XXL? You have a lot to live up to as Ali's was flying beautifully at CJ last friday.

320 is ok for a weekend but 1 day!? Hmmmmm
Yes, XXL but I fear the extra 20lb thrust Ali has is what I'm missing. P200 goes really "nicely". 300 is where it's at tho! Time for a turbine juggle/rethink!

Just a few details for those attending Sculthorpe this weekend, entry will be from the western side of the airfield on Syderstone road (NR21 7PS will take you to this road) you will need to proceed East along this road which does narrow but you will come to a set of gates which will be our access. the gates will be locked but keith has given us the code and we will be onsite for 0845. If you look on google earth https://maps.google.co.uk/ you can see there is a little space to park up but not a great deal and there are other airfield users that may be using this access. We will open the gates and park up just inside should it be necessary, but we must wait for keith before proceeding onto the airfield, Keith will also designate where we will be flying from.

Should be there on Saturday as I can go and see my folks in the evening as they live that way. Not flown since Long Marston, so hoping to burn off the rest of my fuel.

Excellent day at Sculthorpe today. Weather was good and lots of flying took place. There were no serious incidents at all. Highlights include Ian George managing to fly his 1/7 FB F15 with one engine throttled back (by mistake of course). His subsequent 2 engined flight was great. I had a go with the Aurora (thanks to Ian and Jamie) which was really good to fly. Thanks to Keith W for organising and providing food and coffee. More of the same tomorrow!

Just got back from a great week end of non stop jet flying ,weather was perfect with 4 models in the air for most of the two days, thanks to all who took the trouble to come,it makes it worth while when an event is supported well as this was,it is hoped we can do two events next year one early and one late regards Keith

It was a great location and I really enjoyed myself. Burnt all my fuel off on Saturday (the only day I could attend). Once again, met some new friends and saw some great flying and models. A big thank you to a chap named Bob who must have got tired of me keep asking him to spot during the day (and others !!)
A few pictures from Saturday from my phone.

Just wanted to add my thanks to Keith for organising the event for us, it was a great venue, great weekend and loads of banter.
Personal thanks to Geoff White for being patient and observing my LMA check flights with the F15 twin "Big Red" even after a highly fraught single engine 1[SUP]st[/SUP] flight, one of the most scary flights I have had for sure & Steve Haughty for helping as my caller.
Thanks to everyone else for your kind comments/complements on the F15 & following the single engine issue (even if it was self induced )

Thank you for a great day (weekend for those with a 2 day pass) The Fakenham club have access to a superb site, 1.8 miles of runway! We would like just 200 yards of it nearer here...
Good to have Rob back from his extended agony, a year + and his DJ Vampire/P-100Rx showed its quality by performing well.
Took the 11s Spark, GJC Mig 15, DJ Vampire and Ripmax's demo Hunter and Excalibur. No 1 son drove the camera for my flights and I shot a few of the other models present.
Be great to come back, maybe the A11 could be open and reduce the diversion next time :-)

Big thanks to Keith and the JMA committee for arranging the meeting. It was obvious everyone had a great weekend as we all went home with a smile on our face.
