I have a problem. I'm not receiving any emails on the treads I subscribe to.
My Computer skills are low so I believe I could have done something wrong in my settings. However couple of months ago things where working fine. I have tried numerous times to try to fix this myself so now I'm asking for someone to help me out.

Any chance your RCU emails are going directly into your 'spam' folder?

No they are not. I have checked this.

This does happen from time to time when a users settings will change. Checking them and changing them back is fairly easy. Scroll up to the top of the page and you should see a yellow toolbar, select the far right icon to go to your settings. Once in your settings scroll down to "My Preferences" and check to see if you have selected to be notified by email when new posts are made. Once you have the selections you want make sure you scroll down to the bottom of "My Preferences" and click on the "Ok" button to save your settings.

I had Notify me whenever a message is posted.
I was never notified but have changed it as you suggested and saved.

Hello Moderator, how do I post a picture as my avatar. What are the dimensions to use, I see where 85 x 85 is requested. I sized my picture to that and the system said the file was too large. Help. Chic

(85 X 85) Max. 10KB; jpg/gif/jpeg are supported

OK first check that it is 85 by 85, if yes check that the file size is 10 kb or less and finally check that the file extension is jpg or jpeg [better] or gif.

It sounds like your file size exceeds 10 kb. You need to resave it and use an option to reduce image quality OR increase compression.

If you have any difficulty doing this email the pic as an attachment and I will fix it for you.

All the settings seem rite but not getting the emails.

While this may seem like I'm blowing off the problem, but trust me I'm not. Let's not worry about it right now. RCU is currently undergoing a migration to a new software platform that should take place today and possibly for the next day or so. Once we are on the new platform then we can again look at your issue and see if we can't figure out what's going on. Also, it's entirely possible that the problems you are currently having may be a result of the software migration as the problems have locked a lot of settings down so that they can't change during the migration. <div>
