I am having horrendous issues logging in. I tried to clear my cookies and cache but it still does not work. I will be logged in on one page, then not on another. When I click on the log in buttom, it takes me to my profile page and says that I am logged in.
I also access RCU from multiple computers. Some of them I do not have access to clear the cookies or cache.
If I need to clear cookies and cache it also affects all other sites that I visit. Many of those I do not wish to clear.
Is there a better solution to this log in problem?

This isn't a problem for the members to solve, but rather it's our problem to solve. If if means anything to you, it took me 10 minutes to get logged on myself this morning, so it's not just you guys having the issues. However, I sent an email to the programmers that this needed to be a priority in getting fixed, and they answered me that this is still a problem and that they are working on it. I'm hoping that it won't take them too long to make this happen.
Part of the issue with the logins is because of the overwhelming size of RCU. If this was just a matter of logging into the discussion forums there wouldn't' be an issue and they would probably have it resolved fairly rapidly. However, RCU is a multi-platform software that spans many different operating system and servers. Logins are actually done outside of the new vBulletin discussion software because those same logins also apply to the RCU Marketplace. So this comes down to a matter of getting the new discussion forum software to "talk" to the server that handles logins. And that's where the issues are coming up from. But like you, I hope the resolve it soon.
I'll keep you all posted.

OK I am a mod here and am having log in issues as well. It seems to be worse with Internet Explorer in fact on multiple attempts I have only got in once.
But Google Chrome works for me with one glitch. I hit my bookmark link which takes me to RCU but shows that I am not logged in. I hit the log in button and this takes me to my profile WITHOUT ANY USER ID OR PASSWORD ENTRY after this I can got to any forum.
So if you are having problems try Chrome and see what happens.
BTW got my super powers back so be afraid, be very afraid.

If anybody tries this and finds it works can you please feed back here.
Step one delete your cookies
Step two using Google Chrome see if you can log in
Step three assumes step two works -- does it remember you when you log in again.
I totally agree with Ken that this is our problem and I expect it to get it fixed but as a workaround the above fixed it for me. If it fixes it for you can you post to this thread please and tell us.

They are in the process of re-indexing all of the attachments, and it could take 24-48 hours. Once they have them re-indexed the thumbnails for each image should be back in place instead of the file name.

I get this exact same thing on Safari on my Iphone. But with Mozilla Firefox, once i deleted the cookies, i haven't had any log-in problems... yet
