I'm in the same boat. I Emailed two weeks ago requesting one and was also told mine was the newest one and that it was not required. I flew it 9 flights and love it, but the right stab is becoming loose. Mine is grounded until I can get a new one.

WOW, this is ridiculous!!! Anybody thinking of buying fej, DON'T, not only because it is JUNK but because of how this company is treating people (holy sh*t, how do you guys stay composed in these threads). Anybody that knows somebody interested in buying please stear them to all these threads and smarten them up. We have to stop this, people can decide for them selves but at this point with any of this knowledge in their head they would have to be pretty stupid to go ahead and buy something from them. I'm surprised somebody hasn't paid any one of these goofs a visit by now!!

Where is the addendum on their website? Why isn't this public information? Do these 300 buyers know about the fix?
Judging from the pictures, there needs to be 300 new stabs delivered to the customers.
Scott
They can deliver me a new airplane RTF with what I lost with a new stab design and i still won't be happy because of all the other people that got screwed by them the best one I heard is you crashed because of your c of g.

Sorry for your loss, & thankfully no one was hurt! I was thinking of their new largest Hawk (seen it at FJ2013), but I'll pass due to safety reasons & not to mention, I would never buy anything I couldn't sell. Just look for FEJ in "recently sold"

My vote is to ban the FEJ Hawk from flying, period. This means both at events and just regular flying at AMA or public fields.

Like many other qualifier people, I offered to help FEJ but was told that they have the issues well in hand. Yet another crash of a "corrected" Hawk and lose stabs on another "corrected" FEJ Hawk would indicate that these issues have not been resolved.

If FEJ wants to fix the issues themselves, fine. In the mean time, I don't see how a responsible person can fly one. I would encourage CD's, club presidents, and fellow modelers to insist these planes are grounded until such time as proof has been provided that there is a real fix and that it has been incorporated into the plane before it can be flown.

By proof of the fix, I would be satisfied with a corrected Hawk being flown hard for 50 flights. Certainly it would be possible for factory pilot(s) to take a corrected plane and fly it 24 times in an 8 hour day. Shoot some video. Have some witnesses. In just two days, FEJ could have all the proof they need, could splash it all over their web page, and this problem could be put to bed.

The ball is in your court FEJ! What are you going to do?

Holy smokes. Thank god I happened on this thread. I was 12 hours away from buying this plane. There is no way I'm putting my trust or money in a company with no integrity hiding 13000 miles away.

Thank you rc universe

I'm very curious... how is it that you're just now finding out about these issues?

Pedro,
Since they have admitted to you having the "latest corrected one" (Stab), but are going to send you a new one anyways, why don't you do everyone a favor who owns one of these models and Cut your "latest corrected" stab open so they can see what this "latest corrected" stab looks like on the inside!

Nice.

Nice dodge. I don't know why you guys are reacting to the '300 Hawks' comment like that. My bet is that it's a through-the-teeth lie. My impression of these guys (from what they posted on the web site insinuating that Dub's crash was due to improper installation of the hardware and pretty much everything since) is that there's no hesitation to lie. If they've sold 30 Hawks, he'd say 300 to make the incidence of failure seem lower. They flat lied to the guy about the plywood in his stabs. They lie again and again and then just post pics of shiny planes. The last few responses were unbelievable.

I'd say FEJ's goose is pretty much cooked. If not for the high profile failures, then definitely for the "kiss my *****" posture they're taking in the forum. It's as though they don't mind that they're closing their own doors.

Bizarre.

Ah, I see. Perhaps you can offer the seller $.05 on the dollar. That's all FEJ planes are worth on the used market.

Hi,

I'm glad to read your post. I feel bad for the seller because I don't blame a guy AT ALL for wanting to cut his losses on one of those, but at least you've been spared the anxiety and trouble of dealing with all this. RCU is working!

A total loss of everything including engine servos batteries, Actually there was nothing left of it. I can't believe that these airplanes are allowed in North America at all they could kill someone. The only thing that survived were the elevators so I posted pictures. Look at the lack of glue in the elevator.

I sent a few more emails to them and they won't even reply back what kind of service is this from these Chinese people?

I second this suggestion. I think we should email and write both the AMA and Jet Event Organizers such as Frank Tiano and the sorts expressing our concerns about these Fly Eagle Jet Garbage and request they be banned from all US events.

Now, as far as anyone who has lost an aircraft from FEJ that knowingly purchased one being aware of the issues, in my opinion, well that's what you get. If you didn't know, then now you do and sorry for your loss.

Its not Bout them being 13000 miles away because skymaster makes a great product but its their stupid mentality and different culture. They don't care about quality. Those ass clowns are still using lead in children's products. It's their make money and who cares mentality. That's why the air quality over there is horrible. They don't care. It's a culture thing.

You FEJ zombies are also their test pilots. They don't pay for R&D because why should they. As long as people buy their garbage and test fly it for them, well, as they say "oh sowy, we make better fo you next time" bull$hizzles.

FEJ sucks corn hole. Get out of our market with your crap, your going to ruin our hobby!

All you event organizers, listen up. These ass clowns are gonna cost you your event by killing someone.

Probably because the stabs blew off and flutter to the ground away from the fiery crash of the rest of the plane.

I think you are making the right choice. There are other companies that make excellent airframes. Stay away from these guys.

Get a Comp ARF Eurosport. Its a great jet trainer and very well built. Ours is something like 7 years old, has been repainted twice, and has probably over 500-600 flights...
