Thanks!

Hi Chris,

We expect the new Central Box 400 to be released this fall. If you have time in your build schedule the CB-400 would work very well. If not the Power Box will work too but will not be as fully integrated as a Central Box.

until then, the Cbox 200 has 15 outputs.. 2 of the outputs can double as ext, but you can put an expander in the single Ext port and put as many sensors as you want, leaving 15 full outputs..

Is that enough to do an A10?

For telemetry, I would rig an Mui30 or flow sensor for each motor for sure, unless using a gaspar sensor with his ECU... either will give flameout warning..

Yes, agree! Use the Jeti TX modules since the beginning in my 20 year old transmitters and have a DC-16 of the first serie, all working without any problem.

looked at the logs.. lowest Sig quality 85%
Lowest signal 7.

Very good.. I was just pushing the limits as far as I could with a single rx.. it was an r7

Is there a way to program the Telemetry to keep the Top Speed on the screen until the power is cycled or I want it cleared? I don't really have a need to examine the entire flight log and just want to see what my jet tops out at. But of course I'm not going to look at the screen when I'm doing a high speed pass.

I'm currently beta testing a third party EX speed sensor which reports current (speed) and max speed (top speed ) and the max speed is retained till the transmitter is turned off.

Stand by....

Go to displayed telemetry then click 'double' on the airspeed line. You will now get the max airspeed displayed and retained in small font below the airspeed figure. You can clear this by pressing the 'CLR' button or cycling the power although I'll have to check the latter. This is with the Jeti EX speed sensor.

I'm doing a three part review of this transmitter, you can find part one on my FB page (https://www.facebook.com/TheLittleJetCompany) or Youtube channel (TLJC1). I'm not a distributor or have any affiliation with Jeti and I purchased the transmitter myself.

Cheers, Alex

Ok that works with the speed sensor but not with the GPS sensor correct?

You need true airspeed, not the ground speed.

Yes I understand that but it doesn't change the fact it would be nice to see the GPS top speed kept in place until I decide to clear it. I do not like Pitot tubes as they always get damaged some way or the other. The other issue is that the pitot tube can only measure (according to the website) up to 350KPH or 212MPH. We don't have a speed limit in Canada and I am very sure my jet does more than that. So this just won't work.

I'll let you know once I receive the GPS module but that will be in a week or two. According to the manual which can be downloaded from the Jeti website it retains the min/max values until the next PowerCycle.

No worries, I'm finding there's loads to learn and the telemetry is about the only bit I do know about in any detail, this is a great thread so thanks to everyone who's contributed as its made my life easier as a Jeti Newbie

I can’t see my new R10 EX receiver in the Device Explorer of my DC-16 and I don’t understand why? Pushing the refresh button doesn’t make any difference. Still, the binding seems to have worked and I can control the connected servos. In the Jetibox emulation in the DC-16 the receiver shows up with correct name but not in the device explorer. Both tx and rx has the latest firmware. What shall I do?

In device explorer your transmitter is looking at the "device folder" on the "SD" card and in your case for "R10 Ex.bin" file . Connect your transmitter to the PC and see if you have that file.. also a small possibility that file is corrupt. From the unzipped 3.0 transmitter firmware upgrade, you can locate that file and replace it with the file on the SD card in your transmitter and try again...

I'm setting up a jet on my DS16 (v3.0) and I have a Xicoy ECU sensor and a Jeti BEC 2D EX setup as JB1 and JB2. They appear to work fine and both display correctly in the telemetry screen, however, each time I power cycle the transmitter and plane, both JB1 and JB2 display TX and a down arrow as if they are waiting to be setup for the first time. I thought I recalled that they were persistent before. Am I doing something wrong or this the way it's supposed to be. I hope it's not the way it's supposed to be because, well, it kind of sucks to have to select them each power cycle :^)

If you wait a bit the new speed sensor can go to 450 KPH

Wayne,

The only time you want to see the Xicoy telemetry in JB1 is if you don't want to use the "System Analyzer" by Xicoy.. Im using the Xicoy telemetry and all sensor will show up and you can select which ones you want to be displayed on your main screen..

And yes each power cycle of the transmitter will reset the Jeti emulating screen...

Thanks for setting me straight, I wasn't waiting long enough after first power up for the Xicoy telemetry to show up in displayed telemetry menu, so I assumed I needed to view it with the Jetibox emulation. That's what I get for not reading the instructions....

Thanks again

Great Info. I still really don't like pitot tubes but it's worth a shot.

My GPS module arrived If you double the GPS speed telemetry it retains the max G/S until you clear it which is the same as the Altitude.

Thank you, LA Jetguy, for your advice. I checked the transmitter files as you proposed but everything seemed OK so far. I then went on to the receiver and reloaded the firmware and that cured the problem. I am very thankful to all you guys who spend your time trying to help your sisters and brothers in this forum. Happy summer to all of you!
