Hi Guys

Is connecting the retracts to the main unit the only way that you can make them operate? I am asking this because during the build, we need the retract to work to set / adjust the doors etc..

Thank you.

You need to use the control box. Don't plug them straight in to anything else.

You can use the control box on with one or all 3 pluged in. I use a seperate Lipo plug into the box.

I am using Robart electric retracts in an SBD3 that I am building. They took months to arrive, needed repair before they were installed, took months to repair, ere wrongly labelled on their return from Robart and customs held them for weeks wanting duty again. Eventually, I sorted that out and then found that they did not quite fit my plane. They were specifically sold for that model and designer by Robart. I can say in all honesty that I regret purchasing them.
I wish you betterr luck with them than I had.

I have a set Robart electrics in a hanger 9 P-51 that fit great and are over 2years old with no issues. I am going to try the FW190 TF gear real soon. I am hearing there are issued with those. I hope not but I will wait and see.

I have Down and Lock conversions on my Skygate Hawk 1.375 and I love them.
