On the elevators I had to shim the right side, Important to counter sink the bearing bolt, clearance is very tight between the servo horn, elevator and the fuse

Hi JC,
Can you measure where the rudder slot is from front to back. My servo arm is exactly 15mm and I am not even close to the slot on rudder. My measurement is from aft of back post to beginning of slot in rudder is 8mm...to the back is about 9.4mm so the slot length is about 1.4mm
BTW, I got same color scheme
Thanks,
TJ

Thanks JC!
My rudder slot had to been more forward. I had to use 10mm measurement from center of gear to post.
Thanks for the pic of the nose gear servo assembly. That is a great place to put it in case you need to "get" at it for repair.
Do you know what size bolt is used for rudder aft post....5mm? The bolt was not in place on the clamp and there is no way to install it from the inside. Did you have to "open" the access hole more on fuselage?
I have all servos in with wires running up to front. Installed the air tanks and going to start working on front end. Still waiting for Jet-tronic valves and waiting for skymaster to send me tailpipe ring. John seems to think I have to correct one but I know I don't have it as pictured in photo 42 of manual. I have the wooden ring to support the afterburner lights I believe.

I too have that ring your talking about there wasn't a ring to support the back of the pipe. Did you guys get the by-pass that will support the front? J.C. get place for the steering servo mechanism. How are you doing your cockpit? Also how are you going to suport your canopy air cylinder.

I received an email from John stating that I was shipped the incorrect tailpipe. You may want to check yours Shoty1. The tailpipe that I received had an OD aft of tailpipe of 11cm and 37.2cm long.

I did and it too was short. They are making me a new one the correct length. I want to say its almost 40" Thanks for the heads up, JC did you get the big Festo fuel tank fittings from Todd? I've got the same ones except mine didn't have the insert to put the 90 in the bigger hole. Like the way you are setting that up. FYI the to saddle tanks hold 100oz a piece and the main is another 84 oz

You can order a smoke tank from SM. The smoke tank is forward of turbine as you can see in this setup video.

The Rudder bolt is 5mm and only on the rear rudder post

Good question! John did not say what size pipe I was suppose to have. What size is your tailpipe?
How did you get 5mm bolt in bracket on rudder...enlarge fuselage hole?

I have no bolt in aft post, 5mm bolt came with hardware...only one. I don't think a 5mm bolt is used for anything else. I do have a forward bolt (and hole in fuselage to tighten/loosen) and it is not metric. I think it is 4/40 since a standard hex fits to tighten/loosen.. I removed the forward bolt and attempted to insert a 2 and 3mm bolt but didn't fit....threads did not match. I find it odd that they used a standard bolt?? I wish the aft bolt was installed since I cant get it installed from the inside. I guess I will have to enlarge outside hole to be able to insert bolt

I've only got a rear bolt for mine. thanks for the photos of the ram I have a piece of wood thats a weird thats almost a half moon haven't figured that out yet couldn't see your pics on the brackets for the pipe I've only received one that is a circle and lightening holes around it but it doesn't fit anywhere plus doesn't fit over the pipe anyway. The pipe I received was 33.5" long from what I could figure it appears that what is needed for my install is 40'. Craig mentioned his was 37" long that he received. JC what size pipe did you get and does it appear to be the correct length for your install ?

J.C. Sorry to say but I betting your pipe is to short too. The rings I've got the one with all the holes. You probably want to set your turbine in the fuse and get an accurate measurement of the length of the pipe. Like i posted before I got around 40" What pipe did you get the regular or the one for the 300 size
