A great flying day. No major accidents apart from Buck losing a wheel! and a great flameout save with a big F-16.

2 flights on my L-39 and 4 on the Hawk.

Thanks for the loan of the jacket Buck.

Can't wait until the next one.

Paul

Anytime amigo! I bet a lil bit of Vegemite would've helped keep it together, or whatever you goofy kiwis spread on your scrumpets!! LoL It was a great day of flying. I think we had 11 jets and 5 big gassers, an fpv quad that was expertly flown by a nice young man and a gaggle of electrics. I took a few pix and will get them up shortly. Thanks bob and Joe for the great chow and finding the brake hub! Ronnie nice work with the maidens!! Great flying and camaraderie as usual. Til next event. Cheers.

Who are you calling a goofy kiwi? Wrong hemisphere my Dear Sir.

May I point you to a map of Her Britannic Majesty and point to the United Kingdom. And it's Marmite in the northern hemisphere, Vegemite is for those Down Under Aussies!

No Tea and Crumpets for you next time.

Even the puppy was exhausted from all the flying today. Btw that's a PNP F16 in a suburban. Thanks to everyone who helped Mr Wizard get the old iron lung fired up.

Well it was a fantastic day, great weather, and great company. Buck was hangin it all out with his kingcat, Addisons Bandit is probably the fastest rc jet I have ever seen, and the Hawk was just beautiful. I enjoyed the elan and got the retract leak fixed, one of tge lines had blown off of a coupling. I love my new f16 the maiden was great, the k-210 has more than enuff to push it. The flameout on my second flight, not great. We Thanked God I was able to get it back safely in one piece. Thanks for all the help trying to find the culprit of the flameout, I wish we could have found something wrong, I could fix it, but no idea what caused it, I will be calling KT tomorrow. Hopefully get it figured out for houston event, if not Ill bring the ultra flash, and Elan. Im down for the next get together, just set the date.

Yes, it's on 3/12 - 3/15. I'm headed down there this afternoon. Wind looks like out of the northwest 10-5kts. Can't make it tomorrow.

Had a great day at Waco on Friday. 7 flights on my Hawk, burning almost 5 gal of kerosene. A little windy early afternoon but it turned into a beautiful late afternoon and evening, complemented by burgers and sausage courtesy of Dawn.

Well, I lied, I didn't think I would make it out today but I told work I would not be in at 7p I would be in at 11p So I got off work and home at about 8am, layed down till about 1030, hooked up to the trailer, and off to the field... It was very windy but I flew anyway, I got 3 flights on the Elan and 1 on the ultra flash. Stephen Ellzey was about 100 feet high with his 1/6 f16 in the wind almost in a hover, (high alpha hardly moving at all) Great looking Jet, and Jimmy was burning up the sky with his Shockwave. It was fun playing high in the high wind. As always had a good time with the Austin gang,, Met another great guy from Louisiana, Lynn,, Good meeting you and hope to see you more often....
Got home enough time to get a few hours of sleep before work,, Im tired, Midnights Suck,,, but it was worth it..
See ya guys soon,, Hopefully easter weekend...
