I have been using a walmart 5 gallon jug, with some dubro fuel fittings a lexan plate I made, and a Sullivan streamer pump ( about 18$) for my jet fuel. I am on my second one I run it on a 2 cell lipo and it works good but it is slow on the 2s. I know it can handle a three Cell but I don't want to pump that fast for fear of static or over pressurIng my tanks. I filter it before and after the pump.

I just got a new jug from a guy who makes them and sales them on flying giants for 145.00 you can't beat it just add your battery. This is my first that I have not made myself and I have used the Sullivan pumps for years just get the gas version they make. I am curious how long you guys get running a two cell battery? My jets hold a lot of fuel and I wonder if I should just stick to running mine on a 12volt car starter box.

OK, Thats good Ronnie that the Streamer has lasted and works. I already bought a 5gl jug and now i have a pump(Streamer) and will get the rest to finish out a fueling station. I checked the Razorback fuelers on FG and i also found another supplier and will post the link later. The draw back i see is that this other supplier uses a turnigy 12v pump. Prices are good tho!!!!

Ronnie, a freind just suggested using a LiFe pack at 9.9v or A123 pack. Not as slow as a 7.4v and not as high as a 3s pack

Yes sir, that may be a good choice,,, I will say this, I have a 4000mah 2s lipo, and I have flown my flash 6 times in 1 day, I have 3 tanks in it,, and that battery after 6 flights is still over 4 volts per cell, so not even 1/2 way discharged,,pretty good,, My new F16 has larger tanks all three, So I may need to up the voltage to the Sullivan, or it will take a while for it to fuel,,

rcfuelingsystems.com is the other vendor I mentioned above and the prices are good when compared to Jersey and such. As I said. it uses a Turnigy electric pump so not sure of the longevity.

If it helps one of the best economic pumps I've found is the Kavan 12 volt one, very reliable and good German engineering.

Yes I use the black Kavan 12V pump on 3s lipo with great results.

I power it with an old brushed speed controller and a dirt cheap mini servo tester off Ebay to make a variable speed unit.

I appreciate the added responses and i will look for a Kavan pump so as to either use for a smaller fueler or as a backup to the 5gl. I am old fashion and like to built and tinker but just getting into turbines, i can use all the info i can find and get passed on.

Default Bigger Case???

My two Jersey Modeler units are a bit old, about 10 years. Has anyone upgrade to a bigger battery case? if so which one? or what site carries them and what are they called/used for? I don't mind having to transfer all my electronics over. I know many people like the convenience of just strapping the battery to the side and it looks fine, but I would like to find a bigger case for my two JM cans. rcfuelingsystems.com has bigger batteries and cases than those in my JM jugs, but I don't know if he sells those out as spare parts.

I use a large external Lipo velcroed to the bottom of the case. I detach it for charging and storage,

I do same as Falcon. 4000mAh 2s LiPo velcroed on the outside of the case. I use a cheap (I think it was $2 from eBay) Lopo low voltage alarm connected to the balance lead so I don't discharge less then 3.2v/cell.

This works very well. Been using it for over 2 years on petrol (gas in the US)

So cheap you buy 2 to have a spare
