Yes, the battery is indeed replaceable, and the pump will run off the supplied 12V cord even if the battery is dead!

It comes with an internal battery for use on the go and it has a AC charger and DC aux power / charging cord for field charging. This small, lightweight pump includes a digital pressure display and has a programmable auto shut-off feature; set shutoff setting to desired tank pressure and pump will stop when programmed pressure setting is reached.

Now that's neat. How long does it take to fill a larger tank for 1/4 scale to 100 Lbs?

For now I am using this one. $12.99 from Autozone. Gives me about 110psi and 6 or 7 gear cycles on a Boomerang Sprint. Cut off the cigarette lighter plug and run it on a 1500mAh lipo 11.1v Fits in my go fly box.

Large Robart Air Tank, compressor set to 100psi cut-off. About one minute to fill an empty tank.

what is the current and latest hand held pump you use to add air to your air tanks in model airplanes with pneumatic retracts?

Default Robart

When I used air retracts I used the handheld compressor from Robart.

I was using the craftsman handheld (gun type) for a few years but the quality is not what craftsman used to be. The screen would flake out all the time and now the battery won't take a charge. Instead of buying more batteries for it I just bought a Ryobi unit. It is similar in type, gun style. Works great and I have many many Ryobi 18v batteries.

Does the Ryobi have a pressure gauge on it, so you can see when you get to 100 PSI

I have the older Ryobi with an analog gauge. One nice thing is you can buy adaptors on amazon, so i can use my 20v dewalt batteries with the ryobi air compressor. Also bought them to use my older 12v tools with the 20v batteries... new lease on life for them as well

You will find the best price on the Ryobi on ebay. If you already have the right size battery the unit is only $35. or so. But ebay beats everyone.
