David. Did you ever tried a 24 x 18 ? How it runs in the K60PT compared to the 24 x 22 ?

Gonzalo38,
I did use the SEP 24x18 three-blade prop with the K-60 tp engine. The performance was pretty good, but if I remembering correctly, the performance with three-blade SEP 24x22 was better.

Default kingtech k60tp

Hi to All ,strangely I have a bad luck with k60tp. one turbine broken three sm pc-21. turning five blade prop from sm. little shorter than k100 use. well balanced and wood... once it flamed out and back safely. second time it was too far couldn't. turbine gsu showed first heat goes down even i m at full throttle. engine went to china dealer back again and said turbine is well I better check my fuel line and the rest. checked all and flew again and crashed badly engine went to Taiwan. back again. mean while I got new pc21 and k100tp flew happily. last weekend I removed 100tp and want to try my 60 tp.... just took off then flame out again. every time flame out history shows heat goes down first. I really hate my 60tp but I m very ok with 100tp at the end one turbine killed three sm pc21 ....this time probably I ll not even send this turbine back to service..

Sounds like time to build a test stand.

on the ground I burned 8 tanks of fuel , and turbine behave very well on the ground, also I installed k100tp in and flew so sure fuel tank&lines no problem , but whenever I fly it flames out , also gsu shows heat goes down first , I have two K100tp they are very ok just so scary with their power and sound actually I like 60tp more ,

last couple days flew 6-7 times with my PC21 and K100TP , every flight one pisco connector broken, first the one close to turbine, and two times on below gearbox and at the end white Teflon tube broken, I really don't know if I m the only unlucky one with turbo props ….. two k100tp turbines and pisco connectors broken same , Kingtech dealer send me 5 spare of those changed and now they look ok.

and at the end I found that same time switch off turbine need to close manual fuel valve inside from plane too. this way hot oil inside gearbox not returning back and not burn and broke that white Teflon tube, besides transparent tube I bought doing better than one came with turbine .

I believe changing those pisco plastic connectors into festo plastic or metal same as jetcat will be great.

all the bests and good luck with turboprops...

Similar issue with my Kt-100 powered PC-21. My remedy was to leave the fuel shut off valve opened while the engine was hot, but make sure to close the fuel shut off valve before refueling.

Thanks for advice , You are correct right after stop turbine, should not close the valve first. I called Li Kai and he also told me same and after I tried ,, doing great now ,
