Hi guys, my ultra Lightning has 6 flights on it now and is starting to fly very nicely.

the cg has been moved back to about 50mm behind the wing tube. I'll check this today to make sure. This is with the wings off.

now the up trim is dialled out and it rolls nicely without any wobbling.

So so I have two 4200mah lipos in the nose and the other two are down where the smoke tank should be and no lead up front.

Rod,

What happens when you pull the power all the way back and slow it down? Do you have to hold up elevator to keep it level, or does it pitch up on it'own?

Thanks,

Jan

Hi jan,

it flies without any pitching.

to be sure, it's 50 mm from the centre of the wing tube.

im going out again today to put flights 17,18,19 on it.

it is a fantastic jet.

Is anyone flying a UL these days.

The manual says to balance wings off around 45-50mm in front of the main tube.

This thread has people balance wings off but on the tube and one even behind the tube.

Do you really think the UL has such a big CofG range?

Can anyone confirm this rear CofG has been used with issue.

Cheers....

Thumbs up

Yes mate, love my UL.

I had set up my UL back in 2016 as per Geoff White (see the other thread or contact him direct). Used his c of g which is in the middle of the wing tube, without wings.

Cheers,

JanR
