So when selecting a sound title some thought is needed to not disrupt the sequence. However as I was not aware of this I have disrupted a sequence.
My question is how do I delete the sound bites that are disrupting the sequence as I can't change the alphabetic order ?
I have emailed Esprit (who have been good in the past) but have had no reply, perhaps sounds can't be deleted, but this needs to be addressed as I'm sure others will encounter the same issue and it would be good to know if this is the case as I am running out of hair !
Cheers Dambuster.
just rename the files for correct order needed.

Now that my DS24 is here I was wondering if there's any particular things I need to be careful of when switching over from my DS16? I know I have to set/change my specific switch that I changed from base radio, and obviously verify all channels are working correctly before binding to model. But outside of copying models from the 16 to 24, is there anything besides verifying?

I did what you did...configure the new dc-24 the same as my dc-16.....then loaded the files, some stuff wasn’t there like some sound associated with the system and everything that is not associated with the models.....bind all the RX from each plane to the TX.

overall it was seamless for the most part....

Hi Custmachr,
Thank you for your reply but how do I rename the existing files ? When an existing sound file is selected it doesn't go back to the original screen where the file is named when first recorded.
Would be obliged for a step by step of how to do what you suggest.
Cheers.

help... I just copied all models from DS16 to DS24. All seems great. but on my first model, I went to pair two R3's on a CB200, and for some reason, I can't get it to pair secondary RX2. When I hit pair secondary button, I just get the hour glass and nothing. I even set both RX1 and RX 2 back to default by reloading firmware. Is there some way to clear all RX information for a model? I've paired many CB200's and this has me confused. It might just be a basic thing I'm missing. rob

You can rename by connecting the radio to your computer as you would to make a back up. I also suggest you make a complete backup before changing anything. Once connected onpen the folder with the voice files and you should see all your voice files. These will be typically displayed in alphabetical order but if not change your view to this order. The files names can be edited there to accomplish the correct order. Note that after editing you may have to go back to any files used by radio functions and select the new names.
Hope this helps
Tim

In one of my jets I experienced the exact same thing happen... RX1 binds nice... RX2 hour glass... but ultimately after a couple of power cycles I got RX2 to bind. I may suspect firmware issue... Are your receivers on the latest firmware ...3.25??

Hi David, Yep, all Rx's on 3.25. reloaded just to make sure. Now I tried another jet and now have both Rx1 & 2 with hour glass. I agree it must be firmware on the DS24. I go back to my DS16, all binds nice and fast. I tried another model on the DS24, now I have two models that just sit there with "hour glass" I can't even get the hourglass to go away. I Turn off TX, turn back on, go to bind menu and hour glasses are just on and I'm lock from doing anything but bind Rx1. One interesting note, in Dual-Path, normal operation is after you bind Rx1, and pull power from it, you get the normal lost signal chirping sounds. on the DS24, after I bind Rx1 and unplug power from it, the chirp stops and shouldnt' do that. I guess I'll call the folks at jeti...... Rob

Rob... Try this and see if it works.... Unplug (remove power) from the receivers. Turn on transmitter and load another model, then re load the model you want to bind, then place bind plug and power up receiver1 , and try to bind... see if that will work... if successful do the same thing with receiver 2...

What I have been doing, lately to force the second one to bind....is to press the RX select quickly after I power it with the bind plug in....and they bind took me a while to find this....

Well David and Daniel... A mix of both your ideas together. I used Davids idea for getting Rx1 to bind by selecting other model and then back to the model to bind. I got Rx1 to bind right away. But during the whole time the hour glass was on for the Rx2. I then turned off Tx and did it all over again, but the Rx2 wouldn't bind. So, I got a little pissed to be honest, and pressed the "bind secondary" button like 3 times really fast, and for some reason, it bound. Crazy and not really comfortable with all this. Then I went explorer to set up each RX and see the CB200, I found it odd that the CB200 showed up on Rx2. normally it's on rx1. so I went to connect to Rx1 and couldn't. had to rebind rx1 and now fine... So... yes, I got it to work, but that all a little scary for 5 figure models.... Let's see if ZB will chime in. I'd be more than happy to find out I'm doing something wrong.

Pretty much all my models are 5 digits as well....harder to bind but they are stable after and work fine as advertised...I see no issues? (On a DC-24)

Thanks guys... I really appreciate the help on this. I just went to bind another model with a CB200. Had same issue, but for some reason, hitting the "bind secondary Rx" button several times fast seemed to work again. I don't know, but all else is really smooth with the transfer.. I'll still reach out to the Jeti folks and get their insight. Rob

I always make sure that CB200 and all receivers are updated, I have seen also that swapping primary and secondary helps when binding.

ZB.. thanks for the input. I just did another CB200 model from the DS16 to the DS24. Your suggestion on swapping the primary and secondary seems to work better. I also tested a brand new RX that wasn't ever used before, and had no issues at all. The binding issue I had seems to come from those CB200's or RX's that needed to be rebound from the DS16 to the DS24.

One thing to keep in mind when binding in dual path is that the receivers DON'T stay in bind mode indefinitely and will time out if you don;t initiate the bind quickly enough. If yout power up the secondary reciever and then go to the wireless settings menu, select dual path,, bind secondary, etc the receivr may well time out of bind mode by the time you get all that done. When binding the secondary I disconnect the primary that has already been bound, and am sitting in the wireless menu. I power up the secondary and then quickly select bind secondary and it usually binds right away.. If I deviate from that process it can get frustrating quickly.

Can someone confirm that the DS-16 and DS-24 uses the same switches? Got some 16 that want to use when my 24 gets here.

Same switches. I transferred mine from the -16 to the -24.

One little quirk I have found with the DS24 is with model images. I have photograped my own models and end up with large file sizes of several Mb. I have realised that this slows the switch on process enormously, so I have reduced the file sizes to a few Kb. My hawk has a image file size of 535 Kb and still takes around 5 seconds to come the that models start up page. When it was at 8Mb I thought at first that the Tx had locked up as it took several minutes.
My Miss Wind sports model has a 5.5 Kb image file size and comes on instantly.
I may try a faster SD card at some point.

My images are always 400x300 and just 30-50 KB, no need to waist memory and slow down the system.
