Something odd hapened today with my plane. Maiden was today. Cb200 cortex pro and triple link. 900 direct on cb200 rx2. I got for 3 seconds 0 Q value on booth 2.4 rx. Got a signal loss alarm and never got a switch to backup warning like I had on amother plane (with rx1 0 and rx2 40%). Plane flew perfect like nothing ever happened. My guess is that I never even lost the 2.4 but shouldn't change to backup on a case like this?

As long as the 2.4 recivers are powered through the Cortex Pro the switch over alarm will not trigger. R900 will take over and you will not feel the difference.

I must have missed the availability of red (not red wine) DS-24. Pretty certain I would have ordered - looks great!

Cheers

I see. Do you know why this happens? On my other plane with enlink I got the switch to backup warning.

The plane I flew yesterday has flite metal. Maybe this is the reason of low Q values. I will try one receiver antenna outside of plane and see if Q improves.

Not so sure how Cortex Pro handles the receivers and it’s telemtery info... but if you pull the sat 1 wire from CB200 your backup alarm will not get activated .... but if you pull the recivers wires (both A&B) from Cortex Pro the back up alarm is triggered and the R900 will take over as it should...

If you pull sat 1 from cb booth rx will still be on due to energy jump on cortex pro 4 entry and Q at 100% then 900 will take over with a limited frames per second. About 10% of original. Wayne explained earlier on this thread.

When you unplug each rx from cortex pro Q telemetry goes to 0 and the switch to backup warning shows on tx. Theorically plane is on 900 even with 1 x 2.4 plugged and no Q telemetry. But on this scenerio if you unplug the 900 plane still works on rx2. So not sure if plane is actually on 900 in this scenario.

the odd thing is that I got a switch to backup a few weeks ago with Q1= 0% and Q2= 40%. This week I never got the switch to backup with Q1 = 0% and Q2 = 0%.

DS-24 New Guy stuck.

I can not get my R3 900 to work. I just got my DS-24 last week and got stuck today. Any help appreciated.

Setup:
CB-400 updated to v1.09
CB400 file update in TX device folder
2 R3 connected on 2.4 as primary and secondary are working properly
1 R3 connected as RC remote switch working properly.
R3 900 connected to EXT1 and switched to "receiver mode" in CB400
R3 900 shows v1.07 update
R3 900 shows paired with a check mark
R3 900 antennas show 9 and 9 on TX screen

When I disconnect either primary or secondary R3 the system switches to back up and keeps working
When I disconnect BOTH primary AND secondary the R3 900 seems to not be working. Servos stop

Im not getting a log in data analyzer. seems like it must have to be turned on but I can't figure out how.

What am I not doing to get the R3 900 to work?
How to I get the system to start logging?

Thanks
Gary

Make sure R900 is set to ExBus at port E1 or E2 and connect E1 or E2 to ext1 of CB400

Output port 2 and 3 are E1 and E2. In device explore in R900 set output pin E1 or E2 to ExBus

That was it!

Pin 2/E1 to EX Bus and then move wire from EXT to Pin 2/E1. Now it works correctly, with both primary and secondary Rx unplugged, the R900 takes over.

There is no way I would have ever figured that out with the manual and videos I have gone through today. Thanks very much.

Gary

I am not getting logs in the Data Analyzer. Do I have to turn it on some way?

Make sure you have telemetry on.. its on the main screen under tools (F1)... Make sure your date and time is correct....then data logging begins with timer start or F4 "Start" from main screen....

Thanks. The issue was no timer. I just did not see that video when searching for the answer. Explains it very well. Will test it out tomorrow.
Thanks,

??? You don't need a timer for telemetry.......but did you set the time and date? I few times I open the back and disconnect the battery...I forgot to reset time and date, I had telemetry....but the dates was not correct...

It starts logging when the timer starts OR you can start it manually. Unless you do one of those you get no logging.

I do have my throttle sick setup to start a timer....but I have no timer setup....I do get telemetry...pretty mind you I rarely check it, unless problems arise, I will have to check that a little closer to see.
