I use this: https://www.delcity.net/store/Flexo-...22111.h_822112 and its cheap! Just source it from another location. I have a site that I go to but cant post it just yet. Need to get on my other PC to get the link. this keeps wire install clean and protected.
Edit: here is the link that I buy mine from: https://www.wirecare.com/category/br...me-temperature

Hey has anyone had any issues with the new electric retracts? The nose gear doesn't fit into the semicircle cut out that is in the nose where it attaches to the fuse...
Here are some pics
And a link to the movie..

Thanks in advance.. I think there may be a "newer" set of electric gear that I should have received.. My plane was accidentally ordered with Air Retracts and then Pacific sent me a set of electrics...
Please help

Also .. Is everyone thermal protecting the4 runs to the elevators and rudder? I have them in thermal snake skin and I have them mounted along the fuselage .. And secured with epoxied mounting tabs and wire ties..
That is what I use on all my jets.. Is there something different here I should know about?
Thanks in advance!!!

Decided that due to there not being a clear canopy, so no cockpit detail being required, lets be a bit creative.
Took some ideas from previous posts here and came up with this. Now you see the spaghetti, now you don't.

Landing gear screws
Hi Guys,
I am just starting to look at building my T-1, and I noticed the Philips screws that were provided to install the landing gear. I am not completely comfortable with the idea of using wood screws on mine, so I was wondering how many of you were using these screws. I will be flying off of grass, and normally I use 4mm socket head capscrews with blind nuts for gear installs. With the glass plates that they have used to sandwich the gear plywood plates, this may be difficult to do though.
Any feedback is appreciated! I recently saw my first T-1 fly at a jet event, and this has me speeding up my build now. I have enough jets to fly right now, and this WAS going to be a winter build. Really nice quality, and what a great flier too!! I was actually quite surprised when I opened the box to see how large it is. The fuselage has a ton of room for a mid-size jet.

Use the wood screws. You want the gear to rip out of the mounts on an extreme " arrival " With them bolted in place you run the risk of tearing your entire wing apart. The CF mounts are plenty strong enough and the
articulating mains work as advertised to dampen out bounces.

I have built half many T-1's now and have always used the supplied gear mounting screws. I know many others who have used the factory screws as well. I think only a few people are flying off grass and haven't heard of any issues. I prefer wood screws over blind nuts, if you have a hard landing or hit a rodent hole your gear will just pull out. With blind nuts you take the chance of tearing your wings apart.
Enjoy the build. They go together nicely.
