Default AMT Pegasus users. Question. Please help.

Hey guys. I have an old AMT Pegasus (USA). I'm out to maiden my F5. The engine ran flawlessly at my shop and today it started right up but quickly quit. Now when I flip the switch to start the ASU it gives it air and then when it should give propane it just starts beeping rapidly. And won't send propane through. Any ideas? I'm at a loss.

The ASU hits it with air and then it should sense RPM and light the glow plug, then introduce the propane. It would seem to me that one of those two processes is failing - either the ECU is not getting an indication that the turbine is spinning (Bad RPM sensor?) or it senses the the glow plug is dead.

Of course I used to start mine all manually which eliminates the probability of the ASU causing problems...

Just looked at the manual for the ASU on AMT Netherlands. No mention of the beeping sound but said normal failed start would be either lack of L/P or kink in line feeding L/P to ASU, or bad glow plug.

Bob, I was able to start it manually and it throttled fine but now it's quit and sounds like a bearing has gone.....

What are you going to do about bearings ? I have an Olympus that needs them also, not too many options I have found. Shipping to NL is way expensive because of VAT, duty, etc... If you come up with a plan, please share !!

I am probably going to just look for another used Pegasus and hope for the best. They sell for less than bearings and shipping to the NL. I wish Carlos would still do AMT.
