The absolute best canopy glue i have ever used

https://www.deluxematerials.co.uk/gb...243900180.html

set your canopy in place using cylinder magnet, once you are confident you have it positioned correctly apply a tiny bead of this glue around the perimeter and let it dry overnight and you will have an incredibly strong joint. It dries absolutely clear too.

ZAP PT-56 canopy glue gives a strong bond, cleans up with water and will not cloud the canopy if it spills outside the joint.

This is the best stuff I have used: http://www.epoxysupply.com/adhesives...l-clear-epoxy/

Low viscosity, 30 minute working time, cleans up nicely with isopropyl alcohol before curing and dries clear.

Thanks. I love the magnet idea, never thought of that!

Yes, the magnet method works very well. Here is a photo and the result using magnets and Hysol E-30CL.

Looks awesome. I may use something with a bit higher viscosity, but the magnet idea is a winner!

Wow, that's a lot of magnets. Where did you get all of those?

Just a tip here. Once you get the canopy glued and before it sets up, secure the canopy on the plane, if you don't you may develop a twist in the canopy

On line some place...don't remember where. Google "rare earth magnet ". They weren't that expensive.

I found an adhesive that is outstanding for gluing almost anything to anything, especially canopies. It is E6000. Can be found in hardware stores and craft stores. A far better adhesive than silicone and RC56. Dries clear but remains flexible after curing. Cleans up with water before it cures. Any smears can be cleaned up after cure by simply rolling it up under your finger. Where it really shines is gluing a non-porous item to a non-porous surface!

I use E6000 for a lot of things, and yes it is an excellent adhesive. For this application I think it is a bit too goopy and low in viscosity, but it could still be used at the corners or in spots that require extra strength.
