Having the edf viper and a T-One on the way I'd be more interested in a T-45 too.

We want a T-45! Oh well, this was posted on pg 2. Guess things have changed. They need to be quickly adaptive to the market as this is a first foamy turbine in this industry. I wish them well, just not thrilled with a Viper sport jet in Navy colors...

"Patrnflyr,

The T-45 is coming along as planned. I am hoping to have it in the next container with the Mirage 2000. We are also working on a bigger variety of color schemes for the Super Viper , F-16 and the T-45. We will make announcements as we get the information from the factory. I was also notified that the factory is making a few more equipment upgrades on the F-16 and Super Viper that will all be installed on my units coming in the container and the units I ordered for Direct shipping.

I think it is awesome that HSD is always trying to improve their products, making changes and taking the EPO jets to a whole new level. They definitely have the right attitude, open to suggestions and checked the Ego's at the door!!"

Was really looking forward to ordering one.
I am not saying the T-45 is not going to be built, I just asked for it to be put on the back burner for now. I know the Viper is not a scale jet, but when you put the 2 planes side by side, they are very very close in shape and size. As a Distributor, I am trying to give a wider variety of planes and color schemes. In my opinion, it is no fun showing up to the field and seeing nothing but a fleet of the same plane on the flight line. At Jets over KY, I saw at least 12 HSD Thunderbird F-16 and just as many Ferrari Vipers, BORING!! Bare with me for a while, and let me get a bigger fleet of planes available and we will come back to the T-45. Our 1st container is going to sell out fast based on the emails I have been getting. I am already putting an order together for our 2nd container and we will have more color schemes for the F-16, Viper and we will have the Mirage coming as well.

We do appreciate all your comments and please keep them coming. I will need more than 3, ready to purchase guys asking for the T-45 before I put it back to the front of the line. We would also like to hear any other suggestions for future projects. I was also informed, our container is scheduled to get to Long Beach harbor on Jan 1. Fingers Crossed!!

Regards,

Dirk

Erwin,

If they start building bigger planes to accommodate 80N turbines, we have to be concerned with structural integrity due to more power, speed, G-forces and the price point is going to get very close to composite planes. The Skymaster X-Treme line is focused more for the 60N to 120N turbines and they are very affordable and have scale details. With the New HSD line, we are trying to focus more on the smaller 45N-60N planes that we can put in most vehicles and go have fun for a few hours or on the way home from work etc without dragging the trailer out. These are also very good planes for the new guy to get into turbines without spending a small fortune. Like Gunradd said earlier, we are making a thrust vector option for the Mirage 2000 that should be available about the time the New KingTech Small K-80 is released. The 80N turbine in this plane is for 3D power type flying, not extra power to haul the mail and over stress the plane to breaking point.

Regards,

Dirk

I'm not looking for a plane to fly at Kentucky Jets, just one to fly at my local grass field. The F-86 and F-100 are not going to fill that bill, and the F-86 is *very* BORING - much more than a T-45!

The T-45 has been promised since Kentucky Jets last year, it seemed to be very close, and was talked about a month or so ago in this thread. The T-45 was also supposed to have all the bells and whistles, flaps, speed brakes, slats, etc. To have it now canceled, delayed, etc. is disappointing...

A Viper is not a T-45...

Dirk keep up the good work. I agree with you the viper has similar lines at a distance to a T45. For the purest it is not the same. I agree however with the other possibilities. I would be in line for the F100, Mig 15 or 17, T33 / P80. The other ones would be a F9F Panther , F9F8 Cougar, Hawker Hunter, F106 Delta Dart, F101 Voodoo, Panavia Tornado and Mig 29

rgburrill, $3000 for a complete out of the box PNP jet with a KingTech engine is a deal! Its not just an EPO foam foamy jet. These are completely outfitted and designed for turbine use with all metal gear digital servos, Fuel system with UAT, Pipe, smoke system, electronic controllers, lights, gears/Brakes and so on. Just need to drop your RX and Life packs in and you done.

I think these new PNP jets will change the industry. It opens up the hobby to the individual that does not want to or cant spend 5-8K on a larger jet.

Cant wait to see what comes out next.

Just my 2 cents.

I know the Viper can fly on a K45 but a sport jet sized for the K45 in the 10lb range would be fun. Maybe something that is a little sleaker than the Viper/Avanti/Futura etc. style jet.

I would be very interested in an F100. Not a huge fan of the whale/ fish type jets.

Well since I've already got the Super Viper in the Navy scheme finished and I'm not really interested in much scale detail in a foam jet, just stand off scale looks I'm quite happy with the Super Viper. The main things I'm interested in a foam jet are how well it flies and cost. True scale appearance is a distant third as far as I'm concerned.

If we're dreaming about new models we'd like to see, I'd love an SU35 or Mig 29. I realize they aren't going to do a twin but if they could work out something with a single angled thrust tube that captures the basic look of a Mig 29 that flies well, that would be fine as far as I'm concerned..

Personally I think that the mig 21 was the most productive up to today fighter jet.
