With little doubt, Frank Tiano's resilience regarding negative comments like some of the ones expressed here is a blessing to this hobby.
If it wasn't for him, and for the passion for self improvement of a few modelers, this hobby would have never achieved the level it has now.
Besides, he is indirectly forcing the manufacturers to produce "Top Gun" quality products. And everybody benefits from that.
I honestly think that throwing the keyboard in the garbage could help a lot of people to boost their self esteem.
Again, my deepest admiration to Frank for what he has done for this hobby for so many years.

Congratulations Mr. Top Gun !!! Keep up the usual pro job. Also Keep at it inspiring us, the little guys, to at least have the dream of one day have what it takes to only stand there and participate.
It is mind boggling for me Just to imagine myself going through Gerardo`s description of the flying part, not to mention the building, detailing and setting up process required to be succesful. Definitely a "little" harder than keyboard flying.
MI RESPETO !!

We just got back home a few hours ago, and wow, what a great trip. I had a great time, catching up with people I knew, and making new friends as well. I have to admit, it was incredibly impressive to see the huge range of awesome aircraft everyone was competing with….from fragile looking biplanes, flying great in high winds, to warbirds that looked like they just came in from the south pacific. It’s really neat how the rules work to encourage people to try their best with whatever airplane trips your trigger. Although it was the first time at Top Gun, I hope it won’t be the last, as it was a great experience, and a bunch of fun. Big time congratulations to Jack for a great win!

i have no problem with bvm plug and play at top gun. frank made a class for models like that. it brought more into scale. those models only compete in the pro am classes. the builder classes have the custom built models, but the pro am is full of great pilots that either dont build or dont build perfect detail for static scoring. either way, it has added competitors.

What Frank is doing, is creating vocations. One day, those guys coming with a Chinese ARF will compete in Team with a great builder. Some amazing custom built scale model will come out of that.
Starting with an ARF is still starting. Sounds really fair enough to me.
In any case, count on the Ultimate Jets team to bring World Class truly unique ARF to the market that will blow out the field. This is my goal...

Then blow it again in flight.
Eventually people get out of the hobby like Mr DJ, Kevin Marks, or WAP.
All good people with lots of money and lots of motivation to fly RC jets. The 3 of them must have forwarded over 1/4 M USD to FEJ. All gone as smoke.
The guys have disappeared from the Jet scene.
They would have trusted me and invested 10% of that amount in an Ultimate Jets product, they would still be happily flying reliable and easy to handle super scale airframes...
