So -- I'm dead on from a weight perspective. Thanks Ali.

Yea I did that weight after FLjets but I couldn't remember what it was lol.

For CG I was just making sure you are not using scales and had a bad set up with them. Some people don't know how to set them up properly. I did add some tail weight into the tail cone but I removed it after a flight because it was tail heavy.

Are you doing the CG with UAT full and gear down?

Yes sir.

I looked back and saw someone (you?) was flying at cg=154. If she flies well at that setting, I'm pretty sure I can get to that. I'll stick it back on the balance stand today and see.

BTW -- when I started the K85 for the first time, it almost knocked me over at WOT. Feels more powerful than the K85 in the T1-Mini for some reason. Got that HOLY COW feeling.

Another measurement this morning -- I got to 154 CG.

I was noticing that the cockpit insert is VERY heavy. I might put that out and just run the empty canopy.

Quick update -- I popped the cockpit out of the canopy and we're dead-nuts at 160.

I sometimes fly at Cape Coral during the dry season. They have no restrictions.

They have a very smooth 600' runway!

Ocala is very easy going with the fire season also but I don’t want to be the one that starts a fire and gives the old guys a reason to ban jets.

On any given plane I get as much rudder as possible on the high rate, 45 degrees if possible. Then use 2/3 and 1/3 of that for medium and low rates. 'Little or no expo on the high rate. You may need as much as you can get when taking off in a cross wind. Knife edge requires a lot of rudder.

If the plane drops the nose in a turn you may need more expo when using the rudder to keep the nose up.

If my field was open, I'd invite you. TOO DRY for turbine operations here.

Flaperons?

Whats the experience running flapperons on this baby for landing? Yes, no, how much?

Also anyone messed with flaps only and tailerons?

Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just seeing what those flying this are doing.

Yesterday I flew the 16, the gear held up great, but in the air the jet was behaving weird, i have to adjust my expo and throws, the Igyro on the lowest setting made the the elevator go haywire, the landing was flawless, im still having issue with the braking, its grabbing on one side then the gear controller will try to compensate, making it tip to one side then the other side, in the air it looks great.

Anyone flying this off grass? If not, could someone give me the size of the wheels?

I'm considering this as a second home for my JetsMunt VT-80, but only have a grass field to fly off. It is pretty well maintained, and I have no problems flying a Mini Avanti with 63mm/2 1/2" wheels there.

What do you think, would this be an ok daily driver at a grass field?

hey what is your cg, and your setup' in my turns the nose wants to drop, i think its nose heavy,
im at the recommended CG, the stabilizer i added (Igyro) is to much for the servos, starts to obsolete,
thanks

Turn down the gain, bump it 10% with the gear switch down.

we have a cortex in this one. I’m pretty sure we are close to the factory CG. I can’t stand the Igyro but I do know it uses allot less gain compared to the cortex.
