Kelly

I understand HH have not provided the data to allow the Spektrum Tele to be used, since they have their own unit!
So far Jeti, Futaba, Multiplex and Graupner with PB Core very soon work with the internal Telemetry device.

Dave, yeah I was thinking that too - until I searched the Horizon site and it came up as discontinued...

Retailers may still have stock, for now...

Too bad they discontinued that telemetry sensor. I happened to have one for my T-38 with the P-130 and it is working as it should attached to the AR20310T receiver.

In the recent magazine review the thrust was said to be 34lbs not 29lb. That is quite a jump so about 15.6kg that’s nearly 160 size power out of a 100 case. Can jetcat turn it up for a magazine review? Or if not why would they say it makes 29lbs when it actually makes 34. If it’s true that is a fantastic engine.

They all make around that. It’s a class of turbine, they started the project looking for 130N and did rather better!
The 160 Rxi-B was also above 160N, what it does give is a situation that even people in less favourable conditions altitude etc can get near the stated figure, where turbines that are only just doing the figures ( or way below in some cases!) will be down at altitude.

Ow ok. I was going off you saying here earlier on it’s about 29lbs. That is a great engine then isn’t it. Good job Jetcat.

When I flew my T-38 I felt the P-130 in there was putting out way more than I expected. The plane weighs in at 28lbs dry. I have only performed 3 flights so far. Doing other things at the moment but will get back to it in a few weeks.

The fuel seemed to disappear faster than they stated. And the plane easily did 170 MPH. I am still tuning things up but I got the feeling I had a big reserve of power. See my thread here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-j...ct-2019-a.html

The reason my Xcalibur Plus will pull vertical like an EE Lightning on take off.

One downside, it's so good I want another one in something CARF like!

Hi Guys,

I carry out the turbine testing for RCJI magazine, and did the test of the JetCat P130-RX published in the current issue - I have to admit that I was extremely surprised to see the full thrust figures during the first test run, so much so that I shut the engine down and rechecked the parameters before a second run, which gave exactly the same result! The maximum rpm was exactly as stated by JetCat, so no change from standard there, and the temperatures were normal, suggesting that the internals of the engine were also as standard.

The only major difference was the fuel consumption, which was significantly higher than stated, however this increase in fuel consumption exactly mirrored the increase in thrust above nominal, so when running at 130 Newtons thrust the fuel consumption matched what JetCat claimed.

Overall the engine is very impressive, giving a huge amount of power from its compact dimensions.

For anyone that wants to read the full test report we can provide back issues of the magazine, the April/May 2019 issue, at www.rcjetinternational.com whilst anyone buying a new subscription will currently receive this issue as the first of their subscription. Digital issues can be downloaded from https://pocketmags.com/radio-control...ional-magazine

Thanks for reply. I’ve got xcalibur plus as well but with a old 30lbs engine with slow acceleration. Was looking to replace it with maybe a jetcat 130 but can’t find much info pics or vids on it

I've had a P-130 sitting on George Delmoral's repair desk for over a month. JetCat supposedly sent parts (as George has none) but they got lost by UPS. They still have not sent any more to replace those that got "lost". I am getting fed up. Any thoughts on my options??

'Shame because I really liked the engine for my first 5 flights on my new Skymaster T-38:

Ruben

Is it an old fuel installation or new?
