Got 3 flights on my Byron F15 today, first flights for the year. Installed a Blue Box cockpit and the front windscreen is now permanent. With the cockpit in all the nose weight has been removed, batteries are now just in front of cockpit. Plan to make the rear canopy removable this next week. Couldn't be happier with how the 15 flys, two Kt 85s are perfect for my style. Here is a couple of videos from todays flying. How is everyone doing on their 15s any maidens this yr?

Doesn't look like it took much elevator to get it to rotate, right?

Yeah from what I remember as soon as I started to get into the elevator it rotated. My F18 you have to hold full for a few seconds for it to rotate the 15 wants to rotate pretty easy. At take off there is 6lbs on the nese wheel. Just watched the last two videos, yeah you can barely see the elevator move when it rotates.

Just thought I would post a update on my F15, have 13 flights on it now and absolutely love it. One of my favorite jets now, its so easy to see and just the right speed for a relaxing flight. My gear are holding up really well, I thought with them mounted on the sides of the fuse they might not be strong enough but that is not the case they are rock solid. Here is my latest flight.

Going through some old vhs tapes and came across this. I would imagine most of us that love the Byron F15 will remember the Cloud Dancers that performed at the Byron Original air show. I remember seeing the show when I was in my 20s and was amazed at the size of the F15s at the time I was flying a Byron mig15 so the 15 was really awesome. So here is a video that is a blast from the past, enjoy!

Thank you for sharing, that was very cool. I was 18 years old and flying my XLT turnaround pattern plane sharing a frequency with someone flying a Byron F16 regularly on my channel. I remember being in awe of those airplanes and he was always so careful so that I wouldn't accidentally shoot him down. Was very honored at that time...
