I would say yes, looks like the same stuff I saw in mine a few years back. Get the stuff to kill it, I try to keep the some in all my fuel cans.
that or you have one of those mesh type filters thats come apart?

Difficult to say. But algae grows readily in organic liquids.

Do a search and you will be rewarded!

I forgot the name of the stuff I use, bio-for, bio-clean,.... buy one bottle and it will last you a lifetime with our models.

I have not used the model for 3 weeks.. and its only approximately 40cm fuel line from turbine to a closed festo ball valve in which it grew..

The bottle says for a "shock treatment" to use 1oz per 40 gallons, half that for a regular treatment. Sounds like 1/8 oz per 5 gallon fuel jug should be plenty which is why people say a bottle will last a lifetime in our models..

Jet-A, Jet- A1, kerosene, diesel contain a small amount of water.
These fuels are hygroscopic, meaning that they have the ability to attract water in the form of moisture from the atmosphere.
Since water is heavier than these fuels, it sinks to the bottom of the tank.
The algae you see in the fuel is usually a sticky black slime that grows in the water at the separation level of the water and the fuel above.
Algaecides such as Biobor kill the algae present in the fuel stopping it's growth.
Should you see algae in the fuel, simply pump and filter off the good fuel above the algae and dispose of the rest. There will be very little water and fuel containing algae remaining. Storing fuel at a constant temperature around or above 70° F in closed containers will prevent condensation from forming in the air space above the fuel.

We sell ready to use syringes of MIL spec kerosene biocide.
These are packaged per pair.
One syringe per jerrican for regular treatment/ storage, 2 for shock treatment.

In case of shock treatment, mix in the jerrican, then leave it to rest for 24 hours, then fill your system with it and leave alone for another 24 hours.
After that, the slime will be killed and micronised and will pass through your system without any problem. We use this between ops campaigns when the UAVs are on storage.

Risks associated with slime and storage are detailed in the fuel blog:

I have another 16 oz bottle of the type with the built in 1 oz measuring cup, like the bottle that the Bio-Bor comes in. I mix 1 oz of Bio-Bor using the built in measuring cup to 15 oz of fuel and this mixture goes into my dispenser bottle. Now it is a simple task to use the built in measuring cup add 1 oz of this mix to a 5 gallon jug of fuel to have the correct dilution. It is also easy to travel with this bottle to treat any fuel I have to buy at an event. That one 16 oz bottle will treat sixteen 5 gallon jugs of fuel.
