Even though I was told by others that four bolts to connect the canopy was adequate, I often opt for a little more support. Also, there seemed to be alot of weight in the front half of the fuselage, especially near the nose. Therefore I opted to add a little more carbon fire supports to the sides and bottom of the fuselage as well as three additional mounting bolts. They may not be necessary, but I was under the impression that a bit of nose weight was required anyway, especially after adding a smoke tube. Therefore, the few extra grams for added support is negligible. In addition, I felt that the thrust tube had a bit too much play in the rear, so I installed a couple of small pieces of ply on the inside of the former tighten it up a bit. Also you can see under the hood where I installed the nose door servo and the fill tubes for the smoke tank and main fuel.

The L39 is all together except for the flap stops. They forgot to send them with the plane so I am waiting for them to show up. The taxi test went well and the landing gear is really solid. I am using the Smooth flight gyro and the LG15 for the retracts so that I have anti-lock brakes and gyro controlled steering. Can't wait to get this thing in the air. I am using a Swiwin 190n with smoke. Should fly well.

Hi All,
i'm tempted to purchase the Baja L-39, i really like the size and the fact it has electric retracts and electric gear doors etc.
Is this a different jet to the Fej L-39 as it seems to be a similar size,
how is everyone finding the L-39 long term, would you go the PNP option?

Thanks for the reply,
do you have some videos of yours flying, there is not a huge amount of information out there that i can find.
I was going to order the Carf L-39 but the price to New Zealand is crazy at the moment, the Baja looks to be the next best thing and the price is much better.
I notice the Baja doesn't have the airbrake, does it still come in slow for landings etc?

I would like a set please. I am in Canada right now but I will be in Phoenix, AZ for the winter. If you could make a set for me and hold them, would appreciate it.
Unless you can mail to Canada.
Thanks,
Randy

I just flew my39 again and I have to say, I am not sure why I have not fired it up in a while. It is a great bird and much more agile in the air than one would think. I am pretty sure the Global Jet Club just rebranded these as Aeroworks. But if you are on the fence about getting one I would have to say to go for it!

Hi all,
Long time listener first time caller
My Baja L-39 has just arrived and I have to say wow! overall its very well built and very light.
What servos is everyone’s running? mine arrived with Dualsky DS8611 18kg servos except the flaps which is running GDW BLS893, I was a little concerned as I thought the rudder and elevator would require around 25kg - 30kg servos?
I'm actually very surprised its not more popular out in the market place, I think Baja USA and Global jet have customised their product a little differently but for anyone interested the jet itself is manufactured by HX Air jet, the company has a lot of experience in commercial drones etc.
