Default Data Analyzer Jeti DS-24 Question/Problem

Ok, so I’m trying to analyze my last flight data. And I get nothing with the parameters I want to see, ie speed and altitude. If I pick some other parameter, say A1, I can see A1 but I can’t see what I want to see? What gives?

Did you have telemetry logging turned on for those items? If not they will not be selectable.

Hmmm, telemetry logging. I have many flights that I did not even know about telemetry logging that has information recorded.

Even flights from the same jet from earlier flights have the data to display. Why do some flights get recorded and some don’t?

Telemetry recording could be trigger by a switch or auto....perhaps sometime you hit that switch sometime not....just look to see what activate the telemetry on that plane.

On the main screen, at the top is a black square. That means telemetry is not being recorded. If it changes to a flashing circle, telemetry is being recorded. Something must trigger recording to start. If you have not set a switch to start it, the default is "auto" which means that it starts when your timer is started.
Files are named and therefore sorted by, the date and time of occurring so it is important that the transmitter date is correct and that transmitter time is reasonably correct otherwise you will be looking for a log file that is named with the wrong date.
What parameters are recorded is up to you, by default all are recorded but you can switch off recording of ones that you do not need.
There is a max number of parameters that can be sent on telemetry and it is not difficult to exceed, which means some parameters are simply not sent. That is why the newest devices e.g. Assist Rx allow you to switch off unwanted parameters and thus reduce the telemetry overload

I always create a "free-running" timer so that it always recording when I turn the radio on.
Then I create my flight timer, for which i used the throttle stick to trigger it when I'm just over the idle position.

No need to remember to hit any switch.

Yeah, I remember seeing the telemetry logging turning on when I start my timer.

I bet what HarryC says is what’s happening. I’ll have to check it out.

So, I went back to the logging screens, and they are on “auto”.

Under the sensor logging/set up screen, I see a BUNCH of stuff being logged, but I also see that the MGPS is here twice.

Do I need to press “auto”?

I once had a sensor showing up twice, using "auto" did not properly clear it. What did work was unplugging all sensors, press "auto" so that it sees there is nothing and wipes the slate clean, then plug all sensors back in. It should see them without needing you to press auto but you can if you feel the need. After that you may find that anything that used telemetry has to be deleted and done again, e.g. displayed telemetry boxes may have their label but no data, telemetry alarms not work, and so on.

Hmmm, that seems like a bug that needs to be updated!

Thank you HarryC, I'll give that a try.
